Like many modern love stories, ours began online—on Bumble, to be exact. Kyle had answered a prompt on his profile about where he'd go during a zombie apocalypse (his answer: a sailboat), and that one message sparked a conversation that didn’t stop. After three days of nonstop texting—from morning until night—we decided to meet in person. The first date almost didn’t happen; that day Kyle fell off a two story ladder while working and possibly broke his arm. But this date was clearly important and instead of going to the hospital he showed up—sling and all—and we met at Grand Central Brewery in St. Petersburg (he did go to the hospital the next day and did indeed have a fractured arm). From that first date, our connection grew stronger, rooted in shared values, dreams, and interests. But more than anything, it was our faith that deepened our bond. We've both worked to build our relationship with God first, and from that foundation, our love for each other has flourished. This journey has been nothing short of a testament to God’s grace and love. We strive daily to reflect that love in our relationship and to be an example of His faithfulness.
