Question

What are the current restrictions due to COVID-19?

Answer

Thank you all for sticking with us through multiple postponements -- we are so excited to finally get the chance to celebrate with all of you in May! While our wedding day might not look exactly the way we envisioned it this time last year, we want to ensure our event is fun and safe for everyone in attendance! That said, as of right now there are a few concrete regulations that have been set by the state to make sure our event happens safely -- and that will be enforced by our venue. These may change as we get closer to the big day, but check back here for the latest rules and regulations! We've outlined the highlights, but if you'd like to see the full list, you can read it here: https://www.governor.ny.gov/sites/governor.ny.gov/files/atoms/files/Indoor_and_Outdoor_Food_Services_Detailed_Guidelines.pdf See the next FAQ question for the highlights...

Question

What are the current restrictions due to COVID-19? (continued)

Answer

1. To attend the event, all of our guests will have to submit: - a negative PCR or NAATS COVID test 72 hours prior to event, OR - a negative FDA authorized antigen test within 6 hours of the event, OR - proof of completion of vaccine series at least 14 days prior to the event We will reach out with more information about how we are going to collect that from your prior to your arrival as well as options for free testing in the area. COVID positive guests MUST NOT be allowed to attend the event. 2. Masks must be worn at all times during the event, unless you are seated at your table. We will also provide enough masks for everyone should you not have one. 3. Seating will be limited to maximum 10 persons per table, and tables will be spaced at least 6 ft. apart. 4. Dinner will be served to you at your table, and there will be an open bar, but guests must take beverages back to their table for consumption. Continued in next FAQ...

Question

What are the current restrictions due to COVID-19? (continued...part 2)

Answer

5. Dancing is allowed (woo hoo!) You must wear a face mask at all times on the dance floor, and each table will have their own designated "dance zone" that will be at least 36 square feet and 6 ft. away from all other zone. You may not visit other dance zones (we see a lot of dance offs in your futures!) In addition to all of these regulations, our event will be limited to 150 people, and the hotel will be taking precautions to ensure everything is properly cleaned and sanitized, and that we have the proper setup for social distancing. We know that things are going to be a little bit weird, but we appreciate you all sticking with us through all of this, we are so excited to party with you soon!

Question

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

We suggest cocktail attire, think cocktail dresses, LBDs, dressy jumpsuits for the ladies and dark jackets and slacks for guys. And of course a great mask that matches your outfit! (We'll also have disposable masks available at the door in case you forget yours!)

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.

Question

Where are the ceremony and the reception taking place?

Answer

Everything will take place at the Hotel Lafayette. From the ceremony and cocktail hour to the reception we'll be in the same awesome location.

Question

What if I can't make it?

Answer

You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,” so we can plan accordingly.

Question

Where should I park?

Answer

We'll have valet the night of the wedding. Just pull up out front and let them know you're there for the Hess/Dahl wedding, we'll take care of the rest!

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

We hope you'll RSVP by May 10th at the latest, but feel free to submit your RSVP at any time on our website!

For all the days along the way
