Katina and Eric met at Michigan State University in 2016 during a Greek Life charity event called Songfest which pairs sororities and fraternities together to perform group dances to raise money for their elected charity group. Eric was in charge of the event for his fraternity, Phi Gamma Delta, and Katina was dancing for the partnering sorority, Alpha Xi Delta. While not partners in the event, Katina couldn't take her eyes off Eric (mainly because he was dressed as Willy Wonka). Katina and Eric remained friends throughout college, until Eric moved to Fort Worth, Texas after graduating. In 2019 Katina moved to Chicago, Illinois for her nursing degree at DePaul University. One year later Eric also moved to Chicago just before the Pandemic. After the shutdown, Eric saw Katina at a bar and their friendship continued. Eric finally mustered up the courage to ask Katina on a proper date to Taxim, a local favorite of the couple. Over the next several years Katina would learn to love going to random live shows on Wednesday nights, and Eric would learn to lover Katina's cat Sebastian. On June, 21st 2025, Eric proposed to Katina on the Chicago Riverwalk, one of Katina's favorite places in the city. The couple looks forward to celebrating their love for one anther and the start of their marriage with you on October 10th, 2026 in Detroit, Michigan.
