FAQs

Please review all our FAQs for important information prior to our wedding. If you have any other questions, please reach out to Layne or Katie!
Question

When should I arrive?

Answer

Please arrive 15-20 minutes prior to the start of the ceremony. The ceremony begins at 6pm. If you can't make it to the ceremony, we completely understand! We would still love to have you attend our reception at 7pm. Please plan to arrive 15-20 minutes prior to the reception as well.

Question

Can I wear white, ivory, cream, etc.; What if it has designs on it?

Answer

No :) Please don’t wear any shade of white, even if it has designs on it.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Formal attire is recommended. Our colors are jewel tones. We would love to see everyone break out their deep purples, reds, and greens or bright pinks, yellows, or blues. Think of gemstone hues: sapphire, ruby, emerald, etc.

Question

Can I have my phone out or take my own photos during the ceremony?

Answer

NO. The ceremony will only last about 15-20 minutes. You may not have your phone out during the ceremony. There is a paid, professional photographer that will be taking photos during the ceremony. Photographers are a large investment and we do not want this to go to waste by having a cell phone or device blocking important moments. You can either silence your phone and keep it tucked away or leave it in your vehicle. We do not want any of the ceremony's professional photos to be blocked by your device, nor do we want your device to go off during the ceremony. If you would like pictures of the ceremony, we will gladly share them with you.

Question

Why are phones not allowed during the ceremony?

Answer

This is to prevent devices from potentially blocking the professional photographers camera and taking away important memories. For example, Layne and Katie only get to experience their first kiss as husband and wife once, they do not get to redo that moment. We please ask that you silence and put away devices so these once in a lifetime moments are not blocked by your device.

Question

If I can't have my phone out during the ceremony, how can I get photos of it?

Answer

Please reach out to either Layne or Katie, they would be happy to send you any photos from the ceremony! The photographer will be taking photos of the wedding party and family after the ceremony as well. After the ceremony ends, there will be several opportunities to take photos on your device during the reception. The photographer will also be taking photos during the reception.

Question

Is there a deadline to RSVP?

Answer

YES, it is March 15. We want to make sure we have an accurate headcount for our vendors. Please RSVP no later than March 15. If you need to make any updates to your RSVP, please reach out to Layne or Katie.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Absolutely! Just make sure to RSVP yourself and your guest so we can make sure everyone has a plate for dinner. Need to update your RSVP? Just reach out to Layne or Katie before March 31 to make any changes.

Question

What’s the parking situation?

Answer

The venue has it's own parking lot with free parking. Just drive through the main entrance gates and take the circle drive up to the parking lot.

Question

Do I have to stay for all the programed events?

Answer

No! We understand that weddings can last a while. The music and vibe may not be for everyone. We would love to see you, but if you need to head out after dinner, that's okay!

Question

Will there be dinner?

Answer

Yes! There will be a buffet style dinner during the reception. (We hope you like BBQ!)

Question

Will there be alcohol?

Answer

Yes. There will be an open bar available to any guest that would wish to drink. Last call will be at 10:30PM.

Question

If I choose to drink, will Uber or Lyft come to the venue?

Answer

Yes! We want to celebrate with our friends and family, but your safety is our biggest priority. If you decide to drink and can no longer drive, please utilize Uber or Lyft services, or have a designated driver. You can leave your vehicle at the venue overnight. If you choose to leave your vehicle overnight, you are required to get it the following day before 9:00 AM.

Question

Can I bring my children?

Answer

Absolutely! However, there will be alcohol served and music played later in the evening that will not be suitable for children. The change in music will be announced during the open dance. That way you and your family can celebrate, but also know when you may want to take your kiddos home.

Question

Will there be wedding party/family photos?

Answer

Yes! The wedding party will have professional photos taken with Layne and Katie prior to the ceremony - that way our guests have a shorter wait time between the ceremony and reception. Family will take photos after the ceremony. Layne and Katie will also take couples photos after the ceremony and throughout the evening. If you would like any of these photos, please let Layne and Katie know!

Question

Have any other questions?
