Wedding Party

Zoe Hambley

Maid of Honor

Q: How did you meet Katie? A: My first memory of Katie is her pouring glitter down my arms in the Pi Phi parking lot on bid day. We quickly became friends, and I became Katie's "little sister." Q: How did you meet Connor? A: My first memory of meeting Connor was when Jack Rodgers asked me to drive him and his Ranger friends to Pueblano's first campfire in 2021. This helped Jack, and I used it as my driver's training. I almost got the Suburban stuck in the mud on the way there. So by the time it was dark outside, I was too scared to drive in the mud back, so I made Connor drive us home. Q: Favorite Memory of You & Katie? A: I have way too many man ... here are a few in no particular order. (1) Our trip to Disney World (2) Making pancakes on top of the Tooth of Time with your Puerto Rican crew (3) When you came to visit me in Charlotte, and then we went to UNC for a quick day trip before visiting my grandma together :) Q: Favorite Memory of You & Connor A: Connor teaching me how to ski! Q: What are you most looking forward to about the wedding weekend? A: Other than Katie & Connor actually getting married, bringing together all of our friends will be so fun. I also can't wait to help Katie get ready before the wedding!!! I'm going to cry for sure

Q: How did you meet Katie? A: We met in 2013, when we both joined the High School Cross Country team! Katie and I became friends when she convinced me to come on the XC trip to Disney World. Q: How did you meet Connor? A: We met in 2019 at Philmont. One of the first memories I have with him is when he was hiking with a crew to Dan Beard and I was hiking behind them! Q: Favorite Memory of You & Katie? A: Too many to list!! But here are a few ... (1) Drinking slushees on bean bags at Target (2) Spending hours in REI (3) Camping at Philmont (4) The many hours of road tripping and car living (5) Spending COVID lockdown in St. Simons and learning to bike with no hands (6) That time Katie came to visit me in St Croix, I egged my teacher, and other miscellaneous tomfoolery ... I could list more but I’ll leave it there Q: Favorite Memory of You & Connor A: When the three of us went camping in the Valle, made quesadillas, and played backgammon for hours. Q: What are you most looking forward to about the wedding weekend? A: Being surrounded by wonderful people in a beautiful place and celebrating one of my most favorite people in the whole world!!!

Q: How did you meet Katie? A: Philmont, 2019. We had mutual friends. I learned quickly that her Jeep and I shared a name. I thought Katie Horn was pretty cool, but I didn't see her around much because of the hectic-ness of staff scheduling. Q: How did you meet Connor? A: Salida, Colorado, 2017. We planned a spring break trip together over the phone to travel to Colorado from St. Louis (me) and College Station (Connor), having been introduced by a friend of mine who'd met Connor the previous summer at Philmont. Q: Favorite Memory of You & Katie? A: My first memory of Katie Horn comes from the backseat of her blue Jeep Wrangler on the way to the Cree-Mee. We'd just rolled past the St. James and, right before the Cimarron River, a mama bear and her cub came out of the woods to cross the road. Katie pulled the car over, and we watched until they lumbered out of sight. Q: Favorite Memory of You & Connor A: That spring break trip ended up being an absolute highlight reel of dirt-baggy good times - trout fishing in a creek, cooking pork steaks on a wood-burning stove, hitting mountain bike jumps a bit too fast just to get the perfect picture, ripping down ski runs that were way beyond our ability levels, and scooting around in Connor's iconic red Jeep listening to his collection of campfire songs. Q: What are you most looking forward to about the wedding weekend? A: Hanging out on the beach. Meeting Connor and Katie's families for the first time. Eating a lot of good food.
