Lauren Compton

Matron of Honor

I met Lauren in elementary school when we were 9 years old. We’ve been by each other’s sides even through the awkward stages of life. When Lauren moved away to MSU for college, I was nervous our friendship would fade but she continues to be one of my closest friends! MSU football games, Disney World, trips to Boston and Grand Haven - we’ve had so many fun adventures. We’ve been seeing each other less since Lauren moved to Boston and I started residency, but it’s like no time has passed once we’re back together. Lauren is one of the kindest people I know and I couldn’t imagine life without her

Layla Sizemore

Matron of Honor

Layla and I were instant friends and it all started with her complimenting my shoes in our college calculus class. I like to think we are trauma-bonded because… well, calculus. We spent hours in the library studying for calc together (and maybe joking around too…). My time spent with Layla is mostly laughing because of all our shenanigans together. Layla has been by my side through all the ups and downs, and is always there for me when I need her. I love that we can talk about literally anything from ridiculous memes to serious life conversations. Infinitely thankful that the universe blessed me with her friendship.

Kirsten Brady

Bridesmaid

Kirsten is probably my longest friendship! We met when we were 6 years old at Living Word elementary school. We were in different classes but somehow had found each other. We were also in Girl Scouts together for a few years and then later went to Oakland University together. Kirsten is someone who can make anyone laugh effortlessly. Grateful that we have continued to be in each other’s lives all these years.

Shannon Lyon

Bridesmaid

Shannon and I met at Oakland University through a classmate. She has been my rock since I met her. Shannon is a few years ahead of me in medical training and has always been there for me to vent about medical school and now residency. Although we have been physically apart for some time, we always stay connected by mostly sending each other snaps of our silly work things. Shannon has definitely kept me sane throughout the years!

Payton Cheslick

Bridesmaid

Payton and I obviously met after Zack and I started dating. I’m so entertained by all of her stories. She always tells it how it is in the most brutally honest way which is one of the things I love about her. Since I met Payton, she has made me feel like part of the family.

Rigley Crespi

Bridesmaid

Rigley came into my life the first time I went to Zack’s dad’s house for Christmas. I have enjoyed getting to know her better over the past few years. She is such a gentle and kind-hearted soul.

Tyler Olson

Best Man

Tyler and I became best friends back in high school when his mom forced me to give him a ride to school one day. Our relationship then continued to grow throughout high school when we played basketball and golf together. Ever since high school, we have remained close whether it was going to U of M tailgates together, going on golf trips, or simply getting together to grab some beers together. We have been best friends ever since we met and he has always been like a brother to me.

Daniel Passino

Groomsman

Does this man need any introduction? This guy was introduced to the world in 2016 as “America’s Sweetheart” on “The Voice.” Believe it or not though, Daniel and I’s relationship began all the way back in 4th grade. Acquaintances mostly growing up in New Boston, we became best friends while both attending the University of Michigan where our time was spent going to football games, eating at Mr. Spots, and competing for intramural sports championships.

Mike O'Brien

Groomsman

Mike and I met during Calculus I at the University of Michigan after we were assigned group homework together. This was the beginning of our academic battle to see who was better at organic chemistry (Mike, though debatable to this day) and physical chemistry (undebatably myself). All jokes aside, Mike was the first real friend I made in college and I’m thankful that we’ve still been able to keep a strong friendship all these years.

Dalton Potocki

Groomsman

I first met Dalton during my sophomore year of college at the University of Michigan through Mike. Our relationship grew after Dalton invited me to be a part of the one time #1 Spotify sports podcast “Riding the Pine with Dalton Potocki and the Benchwarmers.” I am thankful for the friendship Dalton and I have grown over the past decade as well as our shared unwavering love for Detroit Lions football.

Dustin Darling

Groomsman

Dustin and I first met in elementary school playing little league basketball together. In high school, we were teammates on the golf team. Dustin is one of the most loyal friends I have and can always make me laugh whether we are playing golf at Arcadia Bluffs, playing ping-pong in his basement, or catching a Michigan ballgame together.

Cody Romano

Groomsman

I first met Cody in middle school during basketball tryouts. We then played golf together starting in high school and even went on to play together as roommates at Wayne State University. Cody is one of my friends who is always up for getting together in the blink of an eye for a Michigan football game or a last minute golf trip. He is one of my most loyal friends and always someone I can count on.
