I met Katie & Shawn while we all worked (for too many years) at Bube’s Brewery, even though we are all still unclear when we became as close as we are now. What is very clear is the amount of laughter, memories and wine that have been shared along the way. Through sea sickness for a week straight on a cruise, some really difficult life moments, and some that result in laughing so hard it turns into a wheeze, there is never a dull moment between Katie and I, especially when you throw in the adventures of Kenny and Shawn. Katie’s compassion for others, dependability and love for the people she is closest with make her the perfect match for Shawn and I couldn’t be more proud to call them my best friends.

I’ve known Shawn my whole life, we went to the same elementary school together! He’s been my best friend for over decade, we have shared some incredible laughs and most of the ridiculous things you hear Shawn has done I was right along side him doing them. When Shawn and Katie first met each other, I knew this day would come. I’ll be honest I didn’t think it would take eight years, also I can’t believe it’s been eight years! The three of us have shared an unhealthy number of late nights, vacations, walking dead episodes, and Sunday brunches together. I’m incredibly happy for the two of you and look forward to the laughs and memories the future holds. Thanks for being great friends and letting me stand by your side!

Ariel is the naked baby in the picture that has been hanging on every fridge that KK has ever had and is still there today. We met shortly after I was born when my mom babysat Katie and Charlie (Katie's sister). We've bonded over the years for our mutual love of all things Ed Sheeran and even snuck into the Plaza Hotel in NYC together. KK is the big sister that I never had and the common denominator to every crazy story I've got. I'm so excited to spend this special day with Katie & Shawn!

Even though we are cousins, I consider Shawn to be my older brother. Its been a wild time growing up with him as family. We both share an affinity for wings, craft beer and the always entertaining Dallas Cowboy soap opera. Shawn has grown into an excellent man and will be an exceptional husband to Katie. I’m beyond thrilled to have Katie as my cousin and her to “officially” be a member of the Newlin family...her patience is about to pay off!

Sharing part DNA with Shawn has been the honor of my life. I hope he can give me a kidney or vice-versa. Yes; we are family. Yes; we find excitement in the simple things. That includes running from the E-town fire police after blowing up a stuffed animal when we were in our late teens. Fascinating! And fireworks. Lots of fireworks. Katie and Shawn make me super happy to know they have each other and will tolerate more Pfautz just as we will tolerate them.....with much love of course. Congrats!

I have known Katie since elementary school. We bonded in girl scouts and BROUGHT DOWN THE HOUSE in Katie's 5th grade talent show performance of "Just Got Paid" by *NSYNC. We have been through highs and lows but we always land laughing together. After Shawn entered Katie's life, I assumed the same role of love and friendship for him. I cannot wait to see these two grow together and take on the world!

Shawn and I were once mortal enemies. Then on one fateful State Paddy’s Day at Penn State, we became partners in crime. Eventually we realized “you ain’t supposed to die on a Saturday night” and from that point on, we were “born to run.” Through the years we have Shouted, Ramrodded, got sad an uncountable amount of occasions and eventually we even became blood brothers. I am so happy that Shawn and Katie are getting married and am proud to call them my friends. Let’s rock!

I first met Katie when Shawn threatened to beat my husband up at the Mount Joy Diner. Since my husband usually deserves to be beaten, we have been fast friends ever since. Since then, Katie and I have worked on 14 plays and musicals together at Donegal High School, where I sit near wherever Katie is doing hair and makeup to calm my nerves and get the juiciest gossip. I was thrilled to tears when Katie asked me to be a bridesmaid. My favorite things are dresses, theater, and being there for her friends; being Katie’s bridesmaid combines all of that. From traveling to New York City on a whim to living room workouts to 5:30 AM couch parties to many trips to Joy’s, I cannot wait to support and love Katie and Shawn no matter how crazy they get!

There are few people in this world that become friends the instant they meet. Shawn & I are lucky to be one of those few people. We met in high school and instantly became partners in crime. Vacations, to concerts, to PSU tailgates, we've done almost everything friends can do. One time Shawn used his miraculous random luck to sneak me and my father into the front row of a Dave Matthews Band concert. Given, we were one of almost 10 people he snuck in; he was the Harriet Tubman of concert attendees that night. Shawn, my man, you are always full of surprises. I have laughed harder with you, and, sometimes AT you than any other friend I can think of. Most of all you are an amazing person and an even better friend. NEVER change. I appreciate you, and your amazing fiancee more than you know.

I am the other Katie or better known as "Cousin" and I'm just thrilled to be Katie Newlin X2 very soon! KT has been a part of the family for a very long time now and has been there through a lot - lending support, helping hands and the voice of reason but most importantly keeping Shawn in line (and sometimes me too), all while making him a better person. Her patience and love is unmatched!! My favorite memories with KT are Marietta adventures, concerts and all the family functions. We are lucky to have her forever and I can't wait to be alongside her through the wedding journey! See you all in September!

Shawn & I are cousins & being only a year apart, we’ve always seen each other as best friends who have had some crazy memories together! Growing up, we’d watch movies like Dumb & Dumber, Liar Liar, play Nintendo 64, & who could forget good ol’ “habitat.” As we grew older, I was in my home state Maryland & would visit State College nearly every other weekend because that’s how much fun Shawn is to be around. No matter the stage of life or situation, we always had each other’s backs. When I first met Katie, I instantly knew her & Shawn were meant to be together. It’s obvious that Katie finds Shawn’s charm, wacky sense of humor, & funny sense of nostalgia so attractive! Katie has become like a sister & I am so honored to be standing by Shawn’s side on their special day! Cheers to you both!

I have known Katie for more than half of my life... that feels so weird to think about... and she has always held a special place in my heart. Cheese, to traipsing around Times Square on Halloween in six inch heels (yes, I was wearing the heels and yes, they were a gift from Katie.) I’ve known Shawn for half of my life. Countless experiences we have shared brought us from acquaintances to brothers. One memory that stands out, during a game of drunk volleyball at Penn State, Shawn and I looked at each other after something ridiculous happened & we just knew we were on the same page. I chose to share that experience, because it was the same look I got from Shawn when he told me he was going to marry Katie. We were on the same page: he knew I more than supported it and I knew he had never been more sure of anything in his life. After getting to know Katie I found myself often telling Shawn: “You better not F this up” Her selfless nature & compassion are 2 of her many amazing qualities, but they really stand out as I’ve watched her deal with this dysfunctional group!
