June 2023 - A friend tried to set us up playing pickleball. Neither of us was interested. LOL Spring 2024 - Throughout the spring/summer, we slowly became friends after working together at Storyline. We both played volleyball, which led to numerous car rides driving down to Wash Park and Chick-fil-A dinners together. Fall 2024 - TRY #1! At this point, we were close friends (maybe too close), but we also were going on dates with other people. After one too many boring dates with other gals, Sam finally asked me out. This didn't last long, (ask Sam about that one) but it was all in God's timing. :) May 2025 - After 6 months of not talking, trying to move on and learning a lot about ourselves, we decided we could be mature and play in a volleyball tournament together. The day was great and had both of us reconsidering why we couldn't be together. The next week Sam asked to try again and after some necessary conversations, I said yes! June 2025 - We officially started dating! You know what they say, distance makes the heart grow fonder...I spent quite a few weeks away from Denver, but we made it work! April 26, 2026 - the best day ever! (see photos in the gallery!) Sam proposed to me at Wash Park at the bench I used to walk to and pray at for years. After the proposal, we got to sit on that same bench and pray together (talk about surreal! God is kind!) . It was the most perfect and thoughtful day. We are feeling so grateful! We cannot wait for September 5th!
