We're getting married!

We met in 2011 at the MLB All-Star Game in Scottsdale, AZ. At that time, Katie was working for Marketing WERKS, a marketing agency based in Chicago, and was traveling to AZ to manage PlayStation's sponsorship event at the All-Star game. Ryan was living in Scottsdale (post ASU) and was hired by a staffing agency to work at the PlayStation event. This meant that Katie was Ryan's "boss" for the next 3 days and the rest, as they say, is history :) ​ Over the next few months, they took any and every opportunity to talk– whether g-chatting, BBMing (Blackberry Messaging), or in-person as Ryan traveled to various other cities to work Katie's events that he wouldn't have otherwise – just to see Katie (little did she know). ​ By that time, they had become great friends and knew they had something special, but didn't know how special. Though they were living long distance, it didn't matter and years later post multiple Chicago trips and eventually both moving to Atlanta, they were finally both living in the same state. He popped the question on December 22nd, 2017 in Chicago while they were home for Christmas and it was perfect!
