The closest airport is Kalispell, Montana (FCA). The airport is about 25 minutes from the wedding venue. Remember that rideshare opportunities (Uber/Lyft) are essentially nonexistent in the small town setting. So if you want to roam about, renting a car would likely be the best option. The airport has the typical offerings for car rental (Hertz, Budget, Avis, etc.) but they do sell out quickly. If you get in a transportation pickle, reach out and let's see if we can help!

We have reserved a block of rooms at the Hilton Garden Inn in Kalispell https://www.hilton.com/en/hotels/fcaksgi-hilton-garden-inn-kalispell/ Rates they gave us start at $229/night and the room block will be reserved until 3 weeks prior to the event. However, we still recommend booking early!! Call the hotel directly at 406-756-4500 and ask for the Johns/Charrier Wedding group block. Or, can visit the hotel website at www.kalispell.hgi.com, select the dates of stay, number of rooms and guests, click on the "Special Rates" box, enter JCWED into the "Group Code" box, and hit "Check Room Rates." From there, you will be taken to the group block page. For those staying at the Hilton, we arranged transportation to and from this hotel to the wedding venue. Otherwise, the city of Kalispell offers many accessible and budget-friendly accommodations for a basic hotel stay. Rooms fill up for this popular time of year, but you can shop around and visit: https://discoverkalispell.com/lodging/

BIGFORK is a quaint little lakeside town slightly further from the airport but equally close to the wedding and a little closer to Glacier Park than Kalispell proper. While there are fewer lodging options in this little town, it's a cutesy experience with walkable pubs and shops situated on a beautiful bay. Check Airbnb/ VRBO, Mountain Lake Lodge. WHITEFISH - Further from the wedding (opposite direction from the airport) is the now-posh little apres-ski town of Whitefish. At the foot of "Big Mountain," Whitefish will give you a small town walkable experience with shops, galleries, and restaurants. Whitefish Mountain Resort offers a place to hike and do other organized activities like zip line, alpine slide or mountain bike. Check Airbnb/ VRBO, Whitefish Mountain Resort (https://skiwhitefish.com)

I know some of my guests are looking forward to being a bit closer to nature! Keep in mind that it has been VERY popular and spots can fill up months in advance. We recommend making a reservation as soon as you know you want to camp. (If you aren't bringing your own gear, you may be able to rent some from REI but should check...) In the valley: - Wayfarer campground (Bigfork) - Swan Lake campground - Talley Lake campground In Glacier Park: Might want to stick to the west side, as getting in the east side of the park is easily a 3 hour drive from our town. https://www.nps.gov/glac/planyourvisit/camping.htm Many of the campgrounds in the park require a reservation and can fill up quickly as well. Bowman campground and Kintla are accessible if you have a capable vehicle and don't mind a bumpy gravel road. Just note that camping in the national park has certain rules and is very off-grid in Grizzly country! My dad says be prepared (bear spray etc, plz don't get eaten!)
