Cocktail attire is preferred. Think: formal garden party, knee-length dresses, jackets and ties, wozzie awards, etc. Remember that it can get chilly at night in the Bay Area--bring a sweater or wrap if you get cold easily.
Probably! If the specific culture you're referencing is Olympic water polo, maybe put on fancier pants. And a shirt. And shoes. But if you could wear your outfit to a wedding in your culture and you'll be comfortable wearing it for several hours at our wedding, please feel free! If you're still not sure, reach out and ask one of us!
We have been vaccinated and boosted, and are planning to ask our guests for proof of vaccination. For guests coming in from out of town, please be prepared to wear a mask whenever you enter a store and proof of vaccination to enter most restaurants. While not all businesses are requiring these, many still are. For our friends and family who feel uncomfortable attending despite these precautions, we understand. We'd love to celebrate with you when it is safe to do so. For our friends and family who have not yet been vaccinated, we hope you will take the time between now and the wedding to get vaccinated. While we'd love to invite everyone regardless of vaccination status, neither of us feel that having unvaccinated guests in attendance would be responsible. Furthermore, our reception venue is requiring proof of vaccination in advance. Please check back here - we are monitoring the pandemic, and will update you if our plans change.

The only Covid-related precaution we are requiring at this time is proof of vaccination. Additionally, we hope all our guests will prioritize safety over celebrating. We recommend wearing masks while indoors and not eating, taking a Covid test before the big day, and staying home if you don't feel well or have been in contact with someone who has symptoms. We will celebrate with you once it is safe to do so.
We are absolutely astounded that you want to share in our special day even if you are not feeling your best! However, we are prioritizing the health and safety of our guests and their families over one night of celebration. If you have been in contact with someone who has tested positive for Covid-19, please take a test. If you test positive, we ask all our guests to follow CDC guidelines. Current guidelines recommend staying home for at least 5 days after exposure and wearing a mask for at least 10 days. Full guidelines can be found here: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/your-health/quarantine-isolation.html. Thank you for helping to keep our friends and family safe. We will celebrate with you when it is safe to do so.
Catholic ceremonies are much like other religious ceremonies. You can expect religious readings, a homily, and catholic prayers. Some of these are spoken out loud by the whole congregation, and others are read by only one person. If you are not religious, you're welcome to sit or stand without participating.
The bride, groom, and their immediate families will take some pictures! The reception venue will finish its final preparations! After about an hour, the reception will open its doors to everyone. We will have drinks, snacks, dinner, cake, and will dance! Since there will be a gap between the ceremony and reception, we encourage all our guests to get a snack, take a nap, or grab a cup of coffee. Thank you in advance for your patience!
You're so sweet! We hope to keep the focus on a few key speakers, so if we haven't asked you, please don't prepare remarks. However, we'd still love to hear what you have to say! We will have an after after party on Sunday, July 3 at the Hotel Shattuck Plaza for our friends. If you're still in town and can take advantage of the long weekend, come through!
In order to give our vendors an accurate head count, we kindly request all RSVPs by June 2nd.
Our ceremony will start promptly at 2:30 pm. Please plan to be in the church in your seat by 2:25 pm. We will not be able to delay the start time, as there is a regular mass scheduled immediately after our ceremony.
The most important thing you can do for us is come celebrate! If you would like to give us a gift, we are registered. For more information, please check out the registry page.
We know that many of our guests have long term partners who also would love to come to our wedding. For these friends and family members, your invitation should say "Your Name and Guest" or "Your Name and Your Partner's Name". If you think your invitation should have more names than it does, please let us know.
While we love your child(ren), we are not planning to have child-friendly accommodations, activities or meals. The reality is that space is limited at our venue, and we want to be able to celebrate with as many friends as possible. If your child is invited, you will see his or her name on the invitation. If you have serious concerns about not being able to attend, please let us know.
Unfortunately, neither the church nor the reception venue permit animals who are not service animals. We know your four-legged friends are celebrating with us in spirit!
We are not providing formal transportation options for guests, but there is ample parking at both the church and the reception venue. Lyft and Uber are also available for guests who want to avoid night time driving.
Church parking can be a little tricky if you haven't done it before, but all you need to do is enter the church parking lot from the intersection of Estates Dr. and Park Blvd. You should see a climbing structure from the road. If you miss the turn, no worries! There is lots of other parking on either side of the church.
If it's not July 2022, feel free to text one of us. If it's July, we might not get back to you very quickly--our parents or bridal party may be a better bet!
