It all started at Barton College in Wilson, North Carolina — Noah was there for football, Katie for basketball. They shared a couple of classes, sat in the same rooms, and somehow never spoke (Katie swears she doesn’t even remember him being there).

A few years later, out of the blue, Noah sent Katie a message. She happened to be with her bridesmaid, Chumani, who immediately said, “You have to reply — I just saw him at church!” So… she did. And just like that, the spark was lit.

After two months of talking non-stop, countless FaceTime calls, and one very convincing Mexican restaurant date, Noah asked Katie to be his girlfriend — and she didn’t hesitate for a second.

Cue the long drives and late-night calls — from South Carolina to Rhode Island and back again. They graduated from Barton in May 2023 and spent a year living in Rhode Island with Katie’s family, making memories. In April 2024, they packed up again and moved to South Carolina to live with Noah’s mom — a new chapter, but the same love.

Noah planned the perfect proposal in Charleston, complete with both of their moms, his sister Brittany, and the ultimate guest of honor: the family dog, Lily. On the beach at Isle of Palms, he dropped to one knee — and Katie said YES!

Just when they thought life couldn’t get sweeter, they added a four-legged best friend to the family — Ellie, their mini Goldendoodle, who instantly stole their hearts (and most of the couch).

Today marks a huge step forward in building our life together — not only are we planning a wedding, but now we’re planning a future in our very first home. Exciting things are happening, and we’re so thankful to be sharing it all with the people we love most.
