Things To Do

Tennessee Aquarium

Tennessee Aquarium

1 Broad Street, Chattanooga, TN 37402

A two-in-one aquarium experience with both freshwater and saltwater fish! Oh my! Katie and Nathaniel visited here back in 2019 on a day trip. This was Nathaniel’s first time in Chattanooga and our very first trip to Chattanooga as a couple. It’s held a special place in our hearts ever since!

Ruby Falls

Ruby Falls

1720 S. Scenic Highway, Chattanooga, TN 37409

Have you ever seen an underground waterfall? We have, and now you can too! After Katie won a stay in Chattanooga, we used our fourth visit to the city as the perfect excuse to finally cross some 'must-do' tourist activities off our bucket list.

Rock City

Rock City

1400 Patten Rd, Lookout Mountain, GA 30750

We highly recommend Rocky City! It is a beautiful place to get some steps in, take in the scenic views of Chattanooga, and see if you can really spot seven states from the Lookout Mountain summit! We visited here on the same free trip as Ruby Falls. You can do both in a day, but we would recommend taking your time in Rock City. If you don't leave singing "Rock City *itch, rock, rock city *itch" you did something wrong.

Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum

Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum

4119 Cromwell Road, Chattanooga, TN 37421

We highly recommend the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum! For Rachel Hobbs’ bachelorette party in 2023, we had a blast on the tea party and train ride experience. You’ll get to see a live train turntable demonstration, where they rotate the entire engine 180 degrees to head back to the station. How cool! Since Grandpa George spent his life working on the rails, this experience feels like a special way for those close to him to feel a piece of his legacy in a city famous for its trains. We hope you enjoy it as much as we did.

Little Coyote

3950 Tennessee Avenue, Chattanooga, TN 37409

Listed in the 2025 Michelin Guide, Little Coyote is a laid-back, family-friendly restaurant known for its Tex-Mex meets southern fare and cocktails. We ate here on one of our trips to find a wedding venue!

Old Man Rivers Table & Tavern

118 Cross Street, Chattanooga, TN 37405

Located less than 10 minutes from our wedding venue, Old Man Rivers Table & Tavern is a small, eco-conscious neighborhood tavern serving elevated Southern cuisine alongside a full-service bar featuring creative cocktails, local beers, and thoughtfully selected wines. If you are lucky, Old Man Rivers might be working when you visit! We ate here based on the recommendation from the owner of our wedding venue, and wow, did it not disappoint.

Tony's Pasta Shop & Trattoria

212 High Street, Chattanooga, TN 37403

Chattanooga's favorite Italian restaurant! Tony's serves traditional Italian & Sicilian meals made with garden ingredients & served in a casual ambiance. We have eaten here three times and would go back again and again. There is probably going to be a wait, so this does make a great lunch spot!

City Cafe Diner

511 Broad Street, Chattanooga, TN 37402

Old-school 24/7 diner serving hearty portions of American fare, all-day breakfast, and desserts. We first came here during our very first visit to Chattanooga when we were still in college and money was tight. It’s been a favorite ever since! There is a very good chance you will find us here the morning after the wedding for a much-needed hangover helper breakfast.
