We have a room block at the The Chattanoogan Hotel. Please see the travel page for more information and link to the discounted room block!
We invite our guests to dress in their garden best in midi or floor-length dresses, jumpsuits, suits, and ties. To help us create a bright and airy atmosphere, we kindly ask that you celebrate in vibrant colors or garden-inspired prints. We are dreaming of a palette of blues, greens, pinks, yellows, and oranges—so please avoid wearing black, brown, gray, or white. No jeans. The bridesmaids will be in purple and the groomsmen will be in tan suits. We want to make getting to the mountain as easy as possible! We'll be offering complimentary shuttles to and from The Chattanoogan Hotel for the wedding. Just a heads-up: the shuttle will only be picking up and dropping off at this specific hotel. If you aren't staying at The Chattanoogan, no worries! Chattanooga has plenty of Uber and Lyft options available, and the venue is less than 20 minutes from downtown. Signal Mountain roads can be dark and winding at night, so if you plan on enjoying the open bar, we highly recommend taking advantage of the shuttle or booking a rideshare so everyone gets home safely!
Gardens in the Gorge is located at the top of Signal Mountain. Because of this, guests are not permitted to drive directly up to the venue. Instead, please park in the lot at the base of the mountain, and hop on the complimentary shuttle for a ride up! The last shuttle will leave 15 minutes before the ceremony starts, so please plan accordingly. For your safety, please do not attempt to walk from the parking lot to the venue.
With all the beauty of being on a mountain, please keep in mind that there is a bit of a downhill slope to navigate between spaces. You'll head down from the garden ceremony to the verandah for cocktail hour, and then down again to Windsor Hall for the reception. It’s totally manageable (even in heels!), but we will have a complimentary golf cart available for anyone who needs a little extra help getting around. A quick heads-up on restrooms: The main bathrooms are located inside Windsor Hall. Because the ceremony is up in the garden, we highly recommend arriving with a little extra time to take the shuttle up, use the facilities if needed, and find your seat before everything begins!
Our ceremony will be outdoors in the garden, cocktail hour will be on the covered verandah, and the reception will be indoors inside Windsor Hall. We are actively praying for clear skies (and looking into paying a local witch to guarantee no rain), but in the event of bad weather, we’ve got a backup plan to keep everyone dry and celebrating!
We’ve got you covered. Menus and options to select your meals will come out with our Save the Dates. You'll be able to let us know about any dietary restrictions right here on our website when you RSVP.
We love your children, but we’ve decided to make our wedding weekend an adults-only celebration. Think of it as a well-deserved date night on the mountain! We hope you can still come celebrate with us.
Because hotel events and weddings are two entirely different beasts, and Katie prefers to actually enjoy her wedding rather than working a shift at it. We’ve hired an incredible planner to handle the heavy lifting, meaning Katie is strictly a guest of honor at her own party.
Yes! He shaved his head in March of 2026 and is loving it :)
