Flight

By Air — Norfolk International Airport (ORF)

Norfolk International Airport is the most convenient airport for friends and family flying in. It’s just 24–27 miles / around 35–40 minutes by car to Sandbridge Beach, depending on traffic. Once you land, a taxi or rideshare is a smooth and easy ride—taxis typically cost ~$70. If you’re renting a car, the drive is easy, with the main access via Interstate 264, which connects directly to neighborhoods around Sandbridge. We’ll be happy to help coordinate rides or recommend trusted services if needed—just let us know!

Train

Amtrak to Norfolk or Newport News

If you’d prefer to arrive by train, you can take Amtrak’s Northeast Regional service to either Norfolk or Newport News. From there, an Amtrak Thruway shuttle bus drops you off near the Virginia Beach oceanfront.

The closest hotels to the wedding house are on the southern end of Virginia Beach proper—about a 20-minute drive from Sandbridge. We’ve reserved a room block at Beach Quarters, but (insert sigh) the rates on Hotels.com have consistently been lower than the block 😤—so we recommend checking both options. If you're looking for something even closer, there are plenty of condos and beach houses available for rent through Vrbo or Sandbridge Realty. Many are less than a 5-minute walk to our wedding venue: Atlantic Villa Fran to Sea—your sandals won’t even get sandy!
