We can't wait to celebrate with you!

Mark had gone to a comedy show in DC with a friend earlier in the evening, and Katie was out for one of her friend's birthdays. Both groups ended up at a bar called Lost Society, which is where they found each other!

Katie moved in with Mark (and more importantly, Cody the beagle) in Reston, VA.

The townhouse got a little more full when Willy joined the family as Cody's adopted brother.

Mark and Katie were in Williamsburg to see Katie's family for the first time since the start of the pandemic. They took Cody and Willy out for their morning walk and stopped by the neighborhood pond. Having spent the previous night thinking up the perfect distraction, Mark yelled out, "is that a swan??" and got down on one knee while Katie turned around to look.

Katie and Mark decided the only thing more fun than planning a wedding or buying a house would be to do both at the same time. A graduate of UVA, Katie has been waiting for her chance to return "home" since 2013. After taking numerous trips there together, Mark started to feel the pull himself. One pandemic later, they found themselves both working on remote teams and made it happen!
