Katie and Corinne have been best friends since the age of three. Katie doesn’t have a memory from when Corinne wasn’t a part of her life. As their matching ankle tattoos declare, they consider themselves soul sisters. Corinne is married to our Officiant, Greg Duncan (who first advised Lochlin that marrying Katie comes as a package deal with Corinne), and she is the mother of Ring Bearers Liam and Luke, and of flower girl, Elodie, born November 22, 2021! Katie loves Corinne for her fierce and caring heart, their shared adoration of delicious cheese and wine, her commitment to what is good and right, and importantly, for her vicious dance moves.
Patrick Kerwin
Best Man
Patrick and Lochlin have known each other for over 20 years, and have been best friends the entire time, no matter how much distance separates them. Lochlin adores Patrick’s two beautiful girls and Patrick’s house is always the first stop whenever Lochlin makes it back to North Carolina. Lochlin admires Patrick for the amazing father and husband that he is. Patrick is also the best friend Lochlin could have ever asked for. Years ago, Lochlin was the best man when Patrick married his wonderful wife Jordie, and now Patrick is here to return the favor.

Montana and Katie became friends after Katie gifted Montana a Christmas Tree made of shooters for Secret Santa at work years ago. In Montana, Katie recognized a kindred spirit, and long ago both mutually agreed that they should be best friends. Montana is a strong, opinionated, tireless advocate, a loving mother of three, and a free spirit who refuses to grow old, and Katie loves that about her.
Jacob Chitwood
Groomsman
Jacob and Lochlin met in high school, but truly became friends in college. Jacob has always been a fantastic friend to Lochlin and the strength of their friendship hasn’t lessened even though they live so far from each other. It will be hard to miss Jacob dancing and singing at the wedding because Jacob always knows how to have a good time. He and Lochlin share a love of college sports, shitty video games, and a good chat with friends over a glass of bourbon. Not too long ago Lochlin was a groomsman in Jacob’s wedding to his amazing wife Amanda, and now, like Patrick, Jacob is here to return the favor.
Reid Rowe
Bridesman
Reid befriended Katie years ago when Katie was going through a really hard time in her life. The fact that he met her when she was at her worst, saw her true self, and wanted to be her friend, will always mean the world to Katie. Katie loves Reid’s dedication to learning, sunshine, dancing, good music, and having a blast no matter what day of the week it might be.
Chris Briggs
Groomsman
Chris and Lochlin have known each other ever since they both went after the same girl in college. But this girl was no Katie, and she was no Kaitlin (Chris’ lovely wife, and the mother of their adorable son). They forged a friendship through their mutual love of basketball and general disdain for the bad people of this world. Lochlin has always valued Chris’ friendship and all of the times they’ve been together, even the times that Chris and Jacob were endlessly debating which of the 2005 and 2009 UNC championship teams was better. Years ago, when both Lochlin and Chris lived in Atlanta, Lochlin was a groomsman in Chris’ wedding, and now, like Patrick and Jacob, Chris is here to return the favor.
Valerie Johnson

Valerie is Katie’s oldest niece, and Katie has absolutely adored watching Valerie become a strong, smart, fun, and hilarious woman. Val is the oldest daughter of Katie’s late brother, Brooks. If you ever wanted to know what Brooks was like, spending five minutes with Valerie Johnson is like hanging out with her dad all over again. Valerie’s commitment to making the world better, to loving her family fiercely, and to having the most fun possible are all things that makes Katie love her even more.
Chris Keeler
Groomsman
Chris and Lochlin met when they were both law students interning for the summer at the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia. That summer they formed a friendship that will last forever. Chris is one of the nicest people you’ll ever meet and is an incredible friend to Lochlin. Lochlin was a groomsman in Chris’ wedding to his marvelous wife Asma and now, like Patrick, Jacob, and Chris Briggs, Chris is here to return the favor.
Aundrea Johnson
Bridesmaid
Katie met Aundrea when Drea was born while Katie was in college. Drea came into this world full of spunk, with the most beautiful smile you’ve ever seen. Aundrea is Katie’s niece, the youngest daughter of Katie’s late brother Brooks, and she is also a weightlifter, a dancer, a cheerleader, and a downright good time. Aundrea just graduated from high school, and getting ready to take on the world, but first she’s going to conquer the dance floor at this wedding.
Jason Lamprecht
Groomsman
Jason and Lochlin met at the Brighton Public Defender’s Office when Lochlin started there in 2017. Lochlin immediately gravitated toward Jason because of his infectious good mood, love of college sports, and indefensible old-man basketball moves. Jason is an elite hang and one of the most fun people you’ll ever meet. Unlike all of the other groomsmen in the wedding, Jason has never asked Lochlin to be a groomsman (thanks, Jason).
Greg Duncan
Officiant
When Greg became a Magistrate, little did he know that the biggest perk of his job would be getting to marry Katie and Lochlin. Greg is the husband of Katie's Maid of Honor, Corinne, the father of ring bearers Liam and Luke, and of flower girl Elodie, who will be the littlest flower girl in the bunch. He is also keenly aware of what it means to marry into Katie and Corinne's friendship, and he's given Lochlin plenty of advice on survival techniques (see photo, above). Greg is the perfect officiant because he's a devoted husband himself so he has plenty of insight to share, and he also very patient, kind, funny and generous.
Liam Duncan
Ring Bearer
Liam is the oldest son of Corinne (Maid of Honor) and Greg (Officiant). He starts fourth grade in the fall and loves swimming, dogs, and playing video games. Liam has requested the honor of carrying Katie’s wedding ring down the aisle, because “it is the most expensive one”.
Luke Duncan
Ring Bearer
Luke is the youngest son of Corinne (Maid of Honor) and Greg (Officiant). He starts first grade in the fall of 2022 and loves playing video games (especially with Lochlin), the color red, and snuggling. While he loves his “Aunt Katie” Luke adores Lochlin, and asks all the time if today is the wedding day because he can’t wait to carry Lochlin’s ring down the aisle.
Rain Strobel
Flower Girl
Rain is Katie's niece and the oldest daughter of Katie's brother, Ryan and his wife, Amanda. Rain starts second grade this August, and she loves going to school. Like her father, Rain is a total daredevil, and thrill seeker. She loves dancing, playing with her stuffed bunny, and helping her mom bake.
Willow Strobel
Flower Girl
Willow is Katie's niece and the daughter of Katie's brother, Ryan and his wife Amanda. Willow will start kindergarten in August, and she is a free spirited and spunky little girl. Willow loves using her imagination, wearing princess dresses, and singing songs that she makes up on the spot. Catch her spinning in circles on the dance floor at the wedding.
Ember Strobel
Flower Girl
Ember is Katie's niece and the youngest daughter of Katie's brother Ryan and his wife, Amanda. Ember turned one in February of 2022. When Ember isn't walking and giggling, she loves to eat and snuggle.
Elodie Duncan
Flower Girl
Elodie was born in November of 2021 and she's beautiful and amazing just like her parents. She loves to snuggle, smile, and practice crawling. She's very excited to meet everyone at the wedding!
