Question

How will COVID affect the wedding?

Answer

Unfortunately, nothing is certain when it comes to the near future and COVID-19- we will continue to monitor the situation and place updates here. For your information, the ceremony will likely be outside (weather permitting) but the reception will be indoors. To protect the health of all of our guests, especially the unvaccinated children who will be in attendance, we would appreciate anyone who is willing to take a rapid test the morning of the wedding. We won't be monitoring people's test results but would ask that if you test positive you refrain from attending. We understand if you feel that you can't attend because of COVID-19. We still love you! If you can't make it in person, we will stream the ceremony on this website - see the Schedule Page for more information on the virtual ceremony.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We're not huge fans of rules - so there is no dress code. However, you will fit in best if you’re dressed formal, but not black tie. (Nobody is planning to wear a tux!) our best advice is to get fancied up for a warm evening and a night of dancing - keep in mind it’s Texas in September!

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

We are registered for a honeymoon fund - please check out the Registry page for more details!

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

We are reserving blocks of rooms - check the travel page for details. There are also plenty of Airbnb or VRBO options in Dripping Springs and Austin. Whatever you decide please book early - Labor Day weekend in this area will fill up way ahead of time!

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There is parking at the venue. Just beware that while you can leave your car there, you’ll need to retrieve your car by 9 am the following morning in order to clear the way for Sunday’s wedding group at the venue.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Please let us know if you want a vegetarian dinner or if you have food allergies - we will let the caterer know.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotel to the ceremony?

Answer

We have a shuttle arranged from the Sleep Inn hotel in Dripping Springs, but please book in the room blocks so we make sure to get enough room for you on the shuttle. You should be able to Uber to the venue, but beware that it will be much harder to get back after the party ends. Please be safe, and don’t drive if you plan to drink. See the travel page for more details!
