What should we wear?

Answer

Whatever you're comfortable in. We will be outside in May so dress accordingly. Sharp heeled shoes are not recommended.

Question

I thought you guys were already married?

Answer

Yes, we signed marriage papers in May 2020 during COVID shutdown. It was just a few people and not even all our parents could come. We're excited to celebrate with everyone and do it right!

Do you have a gift registry?

Answer

Since we've already lived together so long, we really don't need anything. Some people sent gifts when we signed our license in 2020. Please please please do not send us another gift, but if you really feel something is necessary, contributions to our actual honeymoon that isn't camping or to our home improvement fund would be greatly appreciated.

If we're from out of town, where should we stay?

Answer

Shelbyville is a cute town just outside of Louisville. There are some very cute places on VRBO and AirBNB as well as typical chain hotels in the area. If you'd like to stay in Louisville, there are many chain hotels to choose from as well. The Brown and 21C are a couple "classically Louisville" hotels downtown if you'd like to go that route.

Should we bring our kids?

Answer

It's up to you. The kids are welcome if you'd like, or leave them at home and have a nice date night. There will be space to run around, a couple yard games, and food they'll probably like.

Will drinks be served?

Answer

Open bar dude (sort of). Beer, wine, and a few select cocktails will be available. There will be a champagne toast.
