Tons of great restaurants and breweries with great patio space. 5 minutes from The Flamingo, 10 minutes from Oxford Suites.
Visit the Wineries
There are so many wineries, we can't recommend just one! Most wineries offer outdoor tastings. Be sure to check whether the wineries you want to go to require reservations for tastings. For non-driving options, there are plenty of tour companies and private driver options available online. You can also do a bike tour (or rent bikes and make your own schedule) from companies like Ace It Bike Tours (Click "view").
Bear Republic Brewing Co.
Grab a table on their large outdoor patio, right next to the Oxford Suites.
Sonoma Plaza
Lots of great shops and restaurants. The girl and the fig has great food and a nice patio.
Sonoma Coast State Park
About 45 minutes from the hotels and right off Highway 1. For an easier hike, do the 3.5 mile Kortum Trail, and for those wanting a more challenging hike, check out the 6 mile Pomo Canyon Red Hill Trail (~3.5 hours). Head to Goat Rock Beach to see the harbor seals. You can also find some great seafood restaurants in the Bodega Bay Area.
Float down the Russian River
Enjoy a leisurely float down the Russian River! ~25 minutes from the hotels, the float from Steelhead Beach to Mother's Beach takes about 3 hours. It's best if you have 2 cars for this trip, that way you can park one at the end to shuttle people back to the start (although we have done it with only 1 car).
