Question

What precautions are you taking to prevent the spread of COVID-19?

Answer

Our venue, the Music Box Supper Club, is one of many music venues in Cleveland that requires proof of vaccination for all of their concerts. While our event is not a concert, we are asking all of our guests who are physically able be fully vaccinated before our wedding, and show us proof of that vaccination, whether with their RSVP or offline. This means that you are 2 weeks past your final shot (your 2nd Pfizer or Moderna, or your 1 J&J.) We also strongly encourage you to get your COVID booster, as it provides more protection against the virus, especially as the Omicron variant is emerging in our region. We're doing this to protect all of our guests, vendors, and Music Box staff, and especially those who are at higher risk. Visit https://www.vaccines.gov/ to find the most convenient location for you.

Question

How are you collecting proof of vaccination?

Answer

We would like to collect as much vaccine data as possible before the wedding to minimize congestion on the day itself. We are working with a solution called VaxYes, which is a HIPAA-compliant, secure portal where you can upload your vaccination card and identification. (more info on VaxYes here: https://gogetdoc.com/vaxyes) 3/1/22: Our landing page at VaxYes is live! You can upload your information here and VaxYes will send us a report: https://www.gogetdoc.com/event/vaxyes-celebrates-the-atkinson-powell-wedding In the meantime, if you'd rather show us your vaccination proof another way, we are more than happy to safely meet up with you in person (if you are in the Cleveland area) or explore other options! Please reach out with any questions or ideas, as this is very new to us :)

Question

Are masks required?

Answer

3/1/22: Based on current COVID-19 numbers in Cuyahoga County ("moderate spread"), we still feel it is necessary to require masks for the time being when not eating or drinking. We recommend N-95, KN95/KF94s, and surgical masks and will have a stash of surgical masks in case you forget :) This FAQ will be updated as the COVID situation unfolds, so stay tuned!

Question

are you changing your names?

Answer

We are both keeping our names! So we'll continue to be known after the wedding as Mr. John Powell & Ms. Katie Atkinson :)

Question

are kids invited?

Answer

We love your kids! But we've made the decision, due to our venue location & status as a bar & concert hall, that all guests be 21 and over.

Question

what's the dress code?

Answer

Cocktail attire - put on that nice dress or fancy jumpsuit you've been saving for a night out, or that barong Tagalog you rock on nice occasions. Or pull out that fancy dinner jacket and silk tie! Bright colors and sparkles are always welcome, and bring your dancing shoes!

Question

can i bring a date?

Answer

We are blessed with large extended families and friends who are like family who we've invited to celebrate with us. If you are allotted a spot for a +1, it should be evident on your invitation. If you are unsure, please don't hesitate to reach out to either of us.

Question

are you registered anywhere?

Answer

Yes! We are registered at Target and right here on Zola--you can click the Registry tab to find more info. We are so grateful for any contributions as we continue our lives together. The biggest gift of all, however, is your presence on our special day!
