FAQs

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Feel free to wear your best cocktail attire, and dancing shoes are a must! Additionally, if you're feeling creative, we welcome anyone who would like to lean into the location and come in their best Vegas attire (e.g., Elvis, Vegas showgirl, Alan from "The Hangover", Hunter S. Thompson, etc.), but be prepared to get stopped on Fremont for photos!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Please refer to how your envelope was addressed. If a guest was included, feel free to bring a date to our event. If not, we look forward to having you join us and ask that you please respect our venue's guest limit. We look forward to celebrating with the rest of Las Vegas on Fremont Street after our reception ends!

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

Given the nature of our event including location on Fremont Street and our desire for our guests to have an evening to fully enjoy our celebrations and all Las Vegas has to offer, we kindly request an adults only event.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Mid-April in Las Vegas is typically a great time, with sunshine and highs ranging from the 70's to low 90's (but it's a dry heat, which is cliché but truly makes a difference!!). That said, Las Vegas is a desert and the temperature drops at night, with April lows typically in the 50's. Our midwestern friends don't usually think of Vegas as a place to bring a jacket, but if you get chilly easily we'd recommend one for the evenings!

Question

So many hotels to choose from, where should I stay?

Answer

We have access to a block of discounted hotel rooms at the California Hotel & Casino, where the wedding reception is located. The California is located one block from Fremont Street proper, so it offers a slightly quieter location than the hotels directly overlooking Fremont while still being easily walkable at any time of day. If you wish to stay elsewhere there are over a dozen options within 1 mile of the California and many, many more if you expand your room search to the Las Vegas Strip or the city. Generally speaking, the Fremont Street hotels are more upbeat and energetic while also coming at a lower price point, while the Strip hotels tend to be more pricey but offer a wider variety of food/drink/entertainment options and more luxury throughout. See our "Travel" page for our specific recommendations.

Question

What if I can't make it?

Answer

We completely understand! Having moved several times, we have family and friends all over the country, and we tried to choose a location with a major airport for accessibility. That said, we understand travel can be difficult and may not work for you. If you know you will not be able to attend, please let us know as soon as possible so we can plan accordingly. We will miss you!!

Question

Open bar, or nah?

Answer

Oh, you know it.
