Where is the Wedding?

Answer

The wedding ceremony and reception both will be at the home of Leah and Dan Kuhlman, Katie’s aunt and uncle. It will be held outside on their property. Their address is: 344 N. 1925th Rd. Lecompton, KS 66050

How "open" is this open bar, exactly?

Answer

All drinks are free of charge but, please bring cash to tip our bartender! They'll be doing a lot to help keep the party going! NOTE: This is a modified open bar. We will only be serving the specialty cocktails, 1 red wine, 1 white wine, 2 types of beer, and some liquor (with mixers).

Will there be anything for the kiddos to do?

Answer

Sorry, fam, this is no kids under the age of 16 event. We hope you will understand our decision to have a kid-free wedding. Call up the babysitter, get your dancing shoes shined, and warm up those vocal chords for an open-bar karaoke party.

What's the parking situation?

Answer

There will be parking available at neighboring houses. Look for the signs directing you where to park. Please be aware there will be a short walk on gravel/dirt from parking to the ceremony and reception areas.

When does this shindig start?

Answer

The wedding processional will begin promptly at 6 pm. When Katie says “promptly”, she means it.

Where can I stay if I don't want to drive home after partying my face off?

Answer

Lecompton is between the eastern part of Topeka and the western part of Lawrence, about a 15-20 min drive to either city. Here are some hotels for both cities. What should I wear?

Answer

Something you'd wear to a nice dinner with a hot date is appropriate (cocktail attire). Please, no denim jeans. Other things to keep in mind: - Kansas weather in the spring can be unpredictable. The wedding will take place, rain or shine. - The reception will be under a big tent, without "walls". The ceremony will be out in the open. - We'll be on grass all evening, except for the dance floor ;-)

Y'all going on a honeymoon?

We're heading to Colorado after the wedding for a few days.
