The Story of Katie and Jason

March 2023 - forever

We met on the dating app Bumble, just as Jason was moving from Lancaster County to West Philadelphia. We bonded over a love of good coffee, so our first date took us to Katie's favorite coffee shop, Passenger. Katie cautiously budgeted two hours for their first date in March 2023, but we ended up talking for seven hours! We learned that we both loved the Reading Public Museum, and arranged for our second date there a week later. The rest is history! We've been rocking our medium-distance relationship ever since. When it came time to look at wedding venues, the Reading Public Museum was at the top of our list (in fact, it was our only idea, so we're happy it worked out). We're excited to celebrate with you at one of our favorite places!

Our Engagement

December 6th, 2025

We have a tradition of going to New York City for the first weekend of December. This December, Jason told Katie that we had to wake up at a very specific, very early time to catch a train to a very specific subway stop near Central Park, so that we could go for a walk. Katie knew what was going on when she noticed our photographer (Michelle!) following us. Jason proposed! Katie was so happy! After a few pictures, Michelle suggested some pictures at Ralph's coffee shop. Katie was too happy to be suspicious of Jason's constant texting. Michelle mentioned that Jason was meeting up with his parents today - Katie was so pleasantly surprised! We walked toward the coffee shop and spotted Jason's parents. Then Katie spotted her sister Colleen hiding in the crowd, and completely lost all decorum and wept with joy. Jason had arranged for both of our families to come in to NYC for the day, and planned a whole day of activities for us. It was the most perfect surprise, the most perfect engagement, and the most perfect day, ever. So heads up September 12th, that's a tough act to follow!
