Holly Ogden
Maid of Honor
Holly and Katie met freshman year of college. They had an 8am class together, and if you know Katie at all, you know that she was always late to that incredibly early morning class, so Holly's first impression of Katie was not strictly the best. BUT very soon after, they became best and forever friends. All throughout college and beyond, Holly has always been just what Katie needs, be it a brilliant sounding board for big life decisions, a fierce protector when the world is acting up, and a calm cool and collected confidant. All in all, she is the very best kind of best friend. Holly currently lives and works in Seattle Washington as the best kindergarten teacher the state has ever seen. Katie could not be luckier or happier to have Holly stand with her she marries the man of her dreams.
John Jones
Best Man & Father of the Groom
When Jason was thinking about who to ask to be his Best Man on what will undoubtedly be the most important day of his life, Katie asked him one question: "Who is the best man that you know?" The answer was simple: "My dad." Jason and John have an extremely close relationship, and even though Jason is old enough to make his own decisions in life, he is never too old to seek wise council from his father. Along with his wife Janise, John is the single greatest influence on Jason's life, from his personality, to his musical endeavors, and to the most important foundations of his moral compass. Jason is proud beyond measure to have John standing next to him as he marries the love of his life.
Anna Plichta
Maid of Honor
Picture this: When: Spring 2007 Where: Freshman Dorm Weather: First sunny/spring rain of the year What: Anna yells out into the hall, "Who's going dancing in the rain with me?!" Katie responds "I am! Let's Go!" And they both joyfully frolic, barefoot in the rain. After, they finally introduce themselves and happily choose to be roommates for the rest of college. They've been best friends ever since and continue to support each other through all that life throws at them. Katie is just the luckiest to have her. Anna currently lives in New York with her fiance, Gary, and is saving babies' lives as Pediatric Physician. Next year Katie will have the privilege of standing beside Anna as she marries the love of her life and Katie is honored to have Anna stand beside her as she marries hers.
Ron McConnell
Groomsman & Father of the Bride
Ron taught Katie many things: how to properly cook and cut a steak, how to treat people, how to file her taxes, and change her oil. He (with Elaine) has always been Katie's biggest supporter, around the world and back. Katie always knew that the man she chose would have to be kind, protective, smart, and love her fiercely, because that is the standard her daddy set. When Jason was deciding who should be his groomsmen, he determined that Ron was "the second best man I know," (due to unfair bias in favor of John). From the beginning, he and Ron have shared a very special connection. Ron's military pride, honor, and fierce loyalty to his family are an inspiration to Jason and an example of what a good man should be. He isn't just the father of the bride; he's a father figure for the couple.
Christy Parker
Matron of Honor
Christy is Katie's sister and oldest friend. Growing up together, Christy and Katie would stay up as long as they could on Christmas Eve, playing card games and trying to hear Santa. They would watch cartoons and were always each other's best travel buddy during family road trips. One of the best things about having a sister that you really like is having a forever friend built in! They visit each other and often as they can and call all the time. Now that they are all grown up, doing grown up things, Christy and Katie still like to watch cartoons, but can always hear Santa now. Christy lives in NC with her husband, Jason (we're making it easy in the Son-in-Law naming department), and her two amazing children. Katie couldn't be happier to have Christy stand beside her.
Ryan Jones
Groomsman
Ryan is Jason's older brother. Being typical brothers, their childhood was filled with wrestling matches, BB gun fights, shameless pranks, and pokes/jabs. Still, at the end of the day, they always had each other's backs when mom and dad got home. Now Ryan gets to relive those experiences through watching his own boys, Tyler and Gaven, though they are admittedly more mature than Ryan and Jason were at that age. Ryan is a successful businessman, an amazing husband to his wife, Aimee, a wonderful father, and most importantly, an outstanding man. Jason is honored and extremely grateful to have his big brother standing beside him on his big day.
Laura Sadow Hogue
Bridesmaid
Laura is Katie's cousin and an amazing woman! Technically, they are second cousins...once removed...but who's counting? Laura and Katie grew up not far from each other, and their moms took every opportunity to get together. Growing up, they took "adventure cruises" (mom's work boat ride on the Hudson), played in the pool, and always had a great time. When Katie was working/living in Tokyo, Laura's work sent her there for a few weeks and the two of them adventured all over Tokyo, and ate all of the sushi. Katie is so lucky to have Laura as a cousin and friend and is honored to have her as a bridesmaid. Laura lives in TX with her husband Matt and beautiful daughter, Amberly.
Clayton Locke
Groomsman
They say that friends will bail each other out of jail, and best friends will end up sitting next to you in the cell, saying "wow, that was a helluva ride!" In Jason's world, Clay definitely fits into this second category. Jason's "brother from another mother," Clay and Jason met in 2012, and have been stationed together at 3 different locations (Jason can't get rid of him!). They've shared a million life experiences, from on-mission hijinks, to travel, climbing, and long nights of too much good wine. Clay has brought light into Jason's life through ups and downs, and has helped Jason to grow in areas of his life in ways that are immeasurable. They have a very special bond that only forever friends do, and Jason is exceptionally grateful for their relationship.
Lily Jones
Bridesmaid
Lily is Jason's amazing daughter! She is 13, but you wouldn't know it, as she is quite possibly the most mature kid you'll ever meet. She is a gymnast; you can tell from her constantly and effortlessly walking on her hands around the house (and anywhere else they'll let her). She is an artist, continuously impressing Katie and Jason with her creativity and artistic eye. She continues to impress through her academic accomplishments as a member of the Junior National Honor Society and top marks in her classes. Above all, she is an amazing person, with the emotional intelligence of a well-grounded adult. Jason and Katie couldn't be more proud of her and are so excited to have her stand with them as they all take this amazing step together.
Dann Mosley
Groomsman
Dann and Jason have been very close friends since 2013, when they were stationed together in Germany. After realizing that they were both musicians, they instantly formed a tight bond and the rest has been history. Jason's chops and Dann's songwriting and sultry voice make a mean combination, and the mix of their outgoing personalities never fails to entertain! Dann is wonderfully generous, delightfully energetic, and one of the kindest human beings you'll ever encounter. He is also an exceptionally loving and dedicated husband and father. He and Jason are living proof that distance has no effect on a great friendship, and that the best people are friends for life.
Addie McConnell
Flower Girl
Addie is Katie's niece, master leggo builder, and just the sweetest "little" girl. When Katie and Jason got engaged, there was no question who they wanted to be the flower girl! Addie and Katie have always had a special bond, and when they see each other, it's like no time has past. They jump right back into doing crafts, building leggos and having snuggle time on the couch. Katie and Jason are lucky to have Addie there to make their special day even more beautiful.
Chris McConnell
Ring Bearer
Chris is Katie's nephew and has the most energetic demeanor. Even when he was a toddler, and he would run into walls and bang is head, he would just laugh and keep on running... come to think of it, not much has changed. Well, he's bigger, has faster toys, and can explain the entirety of Star Wars to you. He is kind and funny and will always keep you on your toes. Katie loves getting to spend time with Chris, wrestling in the living room and going on long "adventures" through their neighborhood and woods by Chris's house. Katie and Jason are sure that Chris will do a great job as Ring Bearer!
