Hello lovely people! We’re so thrilled you’re here. After ten years, one Cavapoo, one daughter, and countless shared adventures, we’re finally tying the knot—and we can’t wait to celebrate with you. Whether you’ve been there from the beginning (yes, even the Nando’s first date...) or you’re part of our lives more recently, having you with us on the day means the world. Below, you’ll find all the info you need about the big day—venue details, timings, travel tips, FAQs, and more. If we’ve missed anything, just drop us a message.
It all started with a swipe right—no, really. We have the magic of 21st-century dating apps to thank for our decade together. If only we’d known that one simple swipe would be so life-changing for both of us. Mac, at the ripe age of 26, and Mappers, just about to turn 21 (please, let’s not talk about the shipwreck-themed 21st birthday party pictured below…), were both still living at home with our parents when we found each other on the world wide web—only to discover we lived just 0.25 km apart. Who knows how many times we’d unknowingly passed each other in real life? It’s been a whirlwind, and we honestly can’t believe it’s been ten years already. Our story began in August 2016, in a cinema in Solihull, watching David Brent: Life on the Road (which Mac belly-laughed at the whole way through). On the way home, he asked when he’d see me again. But at the time, I was in the middle of cruise ship travels. I told him I wasn’t sure—I wouldn’t even be back in the UK for another 10 days, and even then, only for 12 hours: landing at Gatwick one evening before flying out of Heathrow the next morning. I didn’t think much of it. But when I arrived at my Heathrow hotel… there was Mac, waiting in reception. He took me for a fancy date (Nando’s, of course) in Earl’s Court, and we had some drinks. From that moment on, things moved quickly. Within a year, we were living together in our own flat. After a brief (ahem, two-year) stint living with my parents, we bought our first home. We've since moved into our forever home, but I still remember Mac saying on the drive there: “This is it—the start of the rest of our lives.” He even carried me over the threshold (though I’m fairly sure that’s meant for weddings!). But he wasn’t wrong. Since then, we’ve built a life together with our five-year-old Cavapoo, Maximus, and our three-year-old daughter, Ellie. Getting married was always a when, not an if—an unspoken understanding every time we attended a wedding and Mac would squeeze my hand. We finally got engaged in 2022, in the Algarve, Portugal. We've since taken Ellie back there to recreate the moment with a photo in the exact same spot. So if you're reading this, know how incredibly excited we are—and how much it means to us that you’re able to celebrate with us. It’s not lost on us that this might be the only time we’ll have everyone we love in one room. So, we plan to make it a big one—and do it in style!
