FAQs

Question

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

Answer

We'll be starting at 4pm, so you're encouraged to arrive about 15 minutes early.

Question

What is Jim Creek Recreation Area?

Answer

Jim Creek is the Navy campground where we've invited guests to stay with us. It's located 10 minutes from the wedding venue. There is a lodge for the bridal party, multiple cabins for rent, and a group campground which is free to guests. Learn more at their website: https://jimcreek.navylifepnw.com/

Question

Are Jim Creek and Jackson Manor the same place?

Answer

No, but they sure sound similar! Jim Creek is the campground and Jackson Manor is the venue for our ceremony and reception.

Question

What if I don't want to stay?

Answer

That's totally okay! :) We don't expect everyone to stay with us at Jim Creek for the weekend. You are more than welcome to attend the ceremony and reception, then head on home.

Question

How do I book a cabin at Jim Creek?

Answer

We've already reserved a number of cabins, because they had to be booked by an active military member (shout out to the Best Man!!). You'll let us know you're preference when you RSVP. We'll reach out to let you know if it's still available. All reservations will stay under our name and you can pay via check, cash, or venmo directly to Alan & Diane. There are limited cabins, so we recommend the group campsite, which is free to guests.

Question

Tell me more about the group campsite!

Answer

A large grassy field can fit up to 75 people tent camping and is free of charge for our guests. The group site is equipped with a bathhouse, a covered pavilion, picnic tables, a refrigerator, and a propane grill! Bring your own gear, or rent whatever you need from Jim Creek. They've got tents, sleeping pads, sleeping bags, and lots more.

Question

Will there be food provided at Jim Creek?

Answer

Yes! The details aren't totally worked out, but we plan to provide breakfast, lunch, and dinner for our weekend guests. You're encouraged to bring your own snacks, drinks, and anything else you may want. The lodge has large fridges and a professional kitchen that you're welcome to use!
