Moving away for my last two years of college seemed daunting. I didn't know what would be waiting for me there, if I would like it, or fit in. Fall season started, and in the bullpen I see this tall drink of water stepping up on the mound. What a fastball. Little did I know that my soon to be throwing partner would turn into a life long best friend. From college shenanigans, to engagements I'm so thankful that we have managed to stay in each others lives when it is so easy to grow apart.

Katie 1 and Katie 2. We have been best friends for almost as long as I can remember. It started with softball, then crushing on boys and pulling all-nighters in high school, then college and careers. Now she's a kick-ass nurse at Bronson Hospital. No matter how long we go without seeing each other, we always pick up right where we left off. I'm so lucky to have a friend like you.

My older and only brother. Being almost 5 years older, I’ve always gotten great advice over the years. When we were young, he would advise me enough to keep him out of trouble (which rarely worked). A few years down the road he would advise me that I didn’t have to have everything he had to be cool. Looking back, I found that to be very true haha. Now that we’re both grown up (physically) we’ve grown almost closer than ever and I’m honored to have him stand with me on my wedding day.

Hannah is my oldest niece. She was the first one to make me an aunt and will always hold a special place in my heart. It has been such a treat watching her grow up into the smart, beautiful, strong teenager(!) she is today! From zoo trips, to sleepovers, to giggling about boys, we have shared some fun times together.

Kris is my oldest friend. We met way back in 6th grade! 18 years is a testament to how much I value our friendship. Because of life, we have gone periods without seeing each other, but it feels like we’re back in high school again the second we reconnect. From camping out in the basement playing music and Xbox, to basketball in the driveway, to lacrosse and ping pong, I owe a lot of amazing childhood memories to this guy. Even though he’s on the other side of the country now, I am so lucky and grateful he will be able to make the trip to stand with me.
