Our family’s Captain Safety, Casey worries more than she should. She relaxes by going to the beach, baking, and playing games. Katie’s interest in genetics may partially stem from Casey’s hobby of ancestry research too! Casey’s favorite person on the planet is, naturally, her daughter but she’s made ample room for Elliott in the family. The dry-humored father of the bride and a known snappy dresser. When he is not protecting his new yard from deer, he’s hitting the links with his pals. After retiring from teaching, he enjoys cheering on the Cougs and Mariners and playing the Lotto. One day, the Katie numbers will come through!
Heidi & John Jacobsen-Watts
Mother & Father of the Groom
The quick-witted and culinarily talented mother of the groom, Heidi shares Elliott's penchant for a dry martini and white cheddar Cheez-Its. In her free time, she grows tomatoes and dahlias; enjoys hiking, wine-tasting, and swimming in Chelan; and playing dog mom to Kora and Stormi. Father of the groom, motorcycle enthusiast, and personal drummer to three cats. John is no stranger to the Seattle music scene, frequently storming the stage to get the band-de-jour's setlist. When he's not working, he's practicing his triplets, or watching Formula 1 and the Tour de France.
Wally Bubelis
Officiant
Wally has been Heidi's friend since junior high. He and his wife Kathy are bowling buddies and Seattle arts patrons with Elliott's parents. Wally was the first to hear from Elliott that he loved Katie and was planning on telling her. We are excited to have him officiate our wedding.
