FAQs

we wish wedding planning came with an FAQ section as well, but the least we could do is provide our guests with one!
Question

Is there food or a restaurant on site at Point Lookout?

Answer

the resort features the Copper Pine Café - where meals may be enjoyed inside or out, serving breakfast and lunch with fresh farm-grown ingredients from their very own year-round certified organic farm, which include eggs, produce, herbs and honey blended in original Maine recipes. Café hours vary by season; during the peak summer months, breakfast and lunch are served daily.

Question

Where can I get food/drink to bring to my cabin?

Answer

The cabins have complete kitchens with dishware & utensils + full fridges/sinks. If you want to stock up on snacks & beverages there are two great options. Wentworth Family Grocery (655 Atlantic Hwy, Northport, ME) is a full grocery & liquor store 3 miles up the road from Point Lookout. Or you can head to Belfast, 10 miles away, to the Hannaford Supermarket on Lincolnville Ave.

Question

Are there Uber/Cabs or Food Delivery?

Answer

Unfortunately, Ubers & Cabs are hard to come by in coastal Maine so please do not rely on them for transportation. Additionally, there is no room service on resort or local restaurants who deliver, but we have made some great suggestions for grocery stores nearby so you can stock up! (however, we promise to keep you well fed throughout the weekend!!)

Question

Are there other events I should plan on attending?

Answer

For guests that are arriving early - we have coordinated two events on Fri 9/14 & hope you'll be able to join! Please refer to the schedule tab for more information! Friday, 9/14 from 8:30am-2pm: Golfing at the Rockland Golf Club. $50 per person (including cart rental) Friday, 9/14 from 11am-1pm: Wine Tasting & Tour at Cellar Door Winery. $10 per person + any food/full glasses

Question

What can we look forward to on resort?

Answer

The resort features many on-site activities and are included in your stay: fitness center, bowling alley & arcade, basketball court, squash & racquetball courts, soccer fields, hiking trails & a private beach.

Question

Is Point Lookout a Pet-Friendly campus?

Answer

Yes. Point Lookout has a limited number of pet friendly cabins available for an additional $50 fee, so it is advised you call ahead to ensure there is availability. While on-site, they ask that dogs remain leashed at all times while on grounds

Question

Where can I get a babysitter or rent childcare equipment?

Answer

we have you covered!! Jill at Mid-Coast Family Rentals can provide on-site babysitters & rentals for any equipment needs (cribs, pack 'n plays, high chairs, car seats, etc). Please call (207) 342-2147 or email her at jill@midcoastfamilyrentals.com.

Question

Any dress code or special attire notes we should know?

Answer

We are hoping our wedding can be an excuse for guests to dress to impress, so we've requested a formal, black tie optional evening. For men this includes tuxes or full suite/tie and for ladies floor length dresses or formal cocktail attire. The ceremony & cocktail hour is planned for outside, while the reception is in an outdoor pavilion that is temperature controlled.

Question

Where is the ceremony & reception taking place?

Answer

all of the weekend's events will be celebrated on Point Lookout's campus - with the exception of Friday night's welcome drinks for early arriving guests, which is at Peter Ott's on the Water in downtown Camden, Maine.

Question

What time should we be there?

Answer

the ceremony will start promptly at 3pm - please plan to arrive 15-20 mins early to avoid Katie having a heart attack.

Question

Are there any events after the reception?

Answer

We hope to keep the party going late night at our After Party - being held on campus at the Bowling Alley and Arcade immediately following the reception. Late night snacks, complimentary bowling & lots of quarters! Additionally - everybody is welcome to our day-after brunch on Sunday, Sept. 16th! The brunch will be held in the Compass Room at the Summit starting at 9am - but its a revolving door until noon as guests check out & depart for home.

Question

Will transportation be provided to the ceremony and/or reception?

Answer

A shuttle will be provided on Saturday 9/15 to transport guests to the ceremony, down to the reception, to the after-party and/or back to your cabins any time you wish. We understand mobility can be an issue (especially in heels) so please reach out should you need anything else!

Question

What if I have a dietary restriction?

Answer

Dinner selections will include a red meat, white fish & vegetarian option but please email the bride at krollins45@gmail.com so we can be sure to accommodate.

Question

Can I take pictures of your ceremony?

Answer

We have hired a brilliant photographer to capture all our guests & all the ceremony's special moments - we kindly ask that you refrain from using personal cameras or phones & just enjoy the moment with us. We do - however - encourage LOTS of photos after we say "I DO" & can't wait to see what you capture throughout the evening!
