Once upon a time, a girl with red hair moved from the mountains to start a career as an English Professor at a college by the beach on the Georgia/Florida Line. She was hoping one day to find her true love. At the same time, just over the Georgia/Florida Line there was a lovely boy living in Jacksonville, who was working hard as a sports journalist covering the Jaguars. He was hoping one day to find his true love. One day, the two decided to download a magical app to help them find their true love; this app is called "Bumble". On this magical app, the girl and the boy were able to see other princes and princesses in the realm- and some rather gross trolls, as well. The two kept failing to find their match. Until finally, fate brought the boy and the girl together with the swipe of a finger (to the right, obviously). On this magical app, the girl had to write to the boy first. So, she simply wrote, "Your dog is really cute". This benign opener, which, admittedly, was not her best first-line, led to paragraphs of conversations, hours of phone calls, and, finally, one very exceptional first date at Jekyll Island. When deciding on a first date location, the bride, who was scared of the potential that the boy could be a troll in disguise (or, more likely, a serial killer), asked the boy if he'd like to go to Jekyll Island (the island has a toll booth at the beginning and tracks all cars entering or leaving the island--again, he could've been a serial killer). The two decided to meet at the Georgia Sea Turtle Center. After admiring the turtles the center was rehabilitating, the two decided to walk along the historic district of the island and on Driftwood Beach. Eventually, they ended the date with margaritas on the Tiki Deck at Tortuga Jack's. During their walks they talked about everything, laughed at each others' jokes, and truly enjoyed their time with the other person. They kept finding excuses to extend the date, to not leave each other. The boy, being the gentleman he is, did not even try to kiss the girl or hold her hand while they walked. Later, he would claim that he couldn't "read" the girl's "vibes". At the end of their date, the girl told the boy that she would like for him to kiss her, and they did. Sparks flew, legs popped, and a romance for the ages began.
