It was raining on a crowded beach in New Jersey on the Fourth of July. Away for a long weekend with friends, two separate groups ended up at a Tim McGraw beach concert. Katie, in a yellow poncho and backwards hat, spotted Conor and walked straight up to him to introduce herself. Conor took her by the hand and walked her towards the front of the stage. The concert went on, and they enjoyed it, just the two of them. Fireworks were canceled due to rain, but there were fireworks for Katie and Conor, and a long-distance NYC-to-NC romance began. When Conor was assigned to Fort Lewis, Katie relocated to Seattle. Now, they are engaged and look forward to celebrating their love and new life together with all their family and friends in Beaver Creek, CO on February 1, 2020!
