Our Story

High School Sweethearts

We met our sophomore year of high school on a music trip to NYC. I was a violinist in the orchestra and Connor was a saxophone player for our high school band. By luck, we happened to be placed in the same chaperone group! Over the next year we became friends, hanging out at cookouts and parties, attending each other's sports games, and working on labs together in chemistry class. Maybe it was the chemistry, or our shared musical talents and fitness interests, or even our love of country music, but we soon realized we were meant to be more than friends. On June 30th, 2013 we had our first date, a picnic at Centennial Park, and we never looked back. Our first year together was filled with highlights including being crowned homecoming king and queen, going on our first camping trip together, and attending our first country concert. We took these memories with us as we began our next chapter: college. We survived four years of long distance with Connor at Clemson and me at Salisbury University. Talk about a lot of Southwest points! Some of our favorite college memories together involved Clemson tailgates, summer trips to Ocean City, and Christmases at home surrounded by family. After graduation, we moved to Alexandria, VA and began our next chapter as both professionals and dog parents. We are the happy owners of two crazy pups, Kona and Milo. While 2020 has been a difficult year, it has also been one of strength, love and commitment. On June 26th, 2020 Connor asked me to marry him as the sun set on the beach in Kitty Hawk, NC. We are beyond excited to start the next chapter of our lives together surrounded by all of our family and friends in June 2021 - 8 years since the beginning of our story.
