Astoria is a coastal town in the northwest corner of Oregon, where the Columbia River meets the Pacific Ocean. It is the oldest city in Oregon and the first permanent American settlement west of the Rockies. Astoria grew as a port city during the 1800s and 1900s, with many local jobs tied to the fishing, logging, and canning industries. The views of the Columbia River from downtown are breathtaking. You will see ships from all over the world pass by. You can't miss the Astoria-Megler bridge, the longest continuous truss bridge in North America. Astoria offers scenic hillsides, charming local businesses, microbreweries, restaurants, galleries, museums, and great parks. The town is close to many beaches along the Oregon and Washington coasts. We love living here and can't wait for you to join us for our wedding!

Flights

We recommend flying into the Portland International Airport (PDX) if traveling from out of state. Rental car services are available at the airport if needed. You can expect a 1 hour and 45 minute drive from PDX to Astoria. Rideshare services are not readily available in Astoria.

There are many wonderful hotels in Astoria. There are limited Airbnb and Vrbo options due to short-term rental restrictions in the community.
