Sit upstairs for pizza and views of the river or downstairs for great pub fare. If sitting downstairs, food and drink can be ordered from the bar.
Amazing Italian food! This is a small restaurant, so wait times often exceed one hour. We recommend showing up early, putting your name on the list, and exploring downtown while you wait. Great opportunity to visit a local taproom!
Grab some beer-battered Albacore fish and chips from a converted gillnet boat! An Astoria favorite.
Great sandwiches. To get here, take a beautiful drive through the hilly neighborhoods of Astoria. Closed Sundays.
A great Mexican restaurant on Youngs Bay. We also enjoy El Jarocho in downtown Astoria.
This bistro serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner downtown. Coffee in the morning, cocktails in the evening!
One of our favorite coffee places! They recently relocated to a great spot on the river.
This bakery offers coffee, fresh bread, and pastries. Plenty of breakfast options!
This Astoria-based brewery is a great place to grab a beer. If hungry, order some food from one of the food trucks parked right outside!
This local Astoria brewery opened in late 2022. A great selection of beers with a spacious taproom.
This brewery's first location opened in Northeast Portland in 2010. Their Astoria location offers a variety of beer, food, and cocktails.
An incredible tiki bar with tropical drinks and a small food menu. Their drinks are served in the coolest ceramic tiki mugs.
Just over the bridge in Ilwaco, Washington. We love their unique ciders (especially the "Columbia Fog").
That's right, a spaceship-themed barcade. Tons of arcade games, pinball, and local beer/cider on tap. We love it here.
This bar is in the lobby of the Bowline Hotel. We stayed here during our first trip together to Astoria! Their cocktails are wonderful. We recommend checking out the docks right outside the entrance - sea lions love to hop up and sleep there.
The Sunday Market runs from Mother's Day to mid-October every year. Offering over 100 vendors, it is worth a visit if you are still in the area the morning after our wedding!
Climb to the top of this historic column to get an unmatched view of the town, river, and surrounding bays. We recommend buying a $1 glider from the gift shop before beginning your trek up the 164-step spiral staircase. Send the glider soaring from the top of the column! Parking is $5 per vehicle.
We love this museum. A great place to learn about the Columbia River and history of the Pacific Northwest coast. Adult admission is $18.
Take a tour through this beautiful restored Victorian mansion. Adult admission is $7.
Cannon Beach is our favorite beach to visit on the North Oregon Coast. Haystack Rock is a landmark you can't miss. Check out the tide pools, enjoy the beautiful beach, and explore cute shops and restaurants. ~45 minutes from Astoria.
This beach is a 10-15 minute drive from Astoria. If you plan on walking, be cautious because cars are permitted to drive on this beach. If you drive on the beach, make sure your car is suited for the sand.
This shipwreck is neat to check out during low tide on Sunset Beach. The shipwreck is considered part of Fort Stevens State Park. We also enjoy the Coffenbury Lake Loop Hike at Fort Stevens and the Netul River Trail at nearby Fort Clatsop.
This park has many areas to explore. We love hiking up to the Cape Disappointment Lighthouse. There are great views of the Columbia River Bar!
Hike to this 300 year-old Sitka spruce! You can start your walk from the Astoria Column or from the Cathedral Tree Trailhead.
If you take the trip to Cannon Beach, check out this park! Tons of hiking and sightseeing.
We love this place! Take a brief walk along the boardwalk and then enjoy a great hike through the forest. The hike here takes you through the trees and along a beautiful creek. It is typically very quiet with not many visitors. Lots of uphill/downhill - bring good shoes!
