Wedding Party

Samantha Askland

Matron of Honor

Samantha is my older sister and we have been attached at the hip for as far back as I can remember. She is not only my sister but my very best friend. She is the one person that I know will always be standing beside me know matter what!

Jenny Sveum

Bridesmaid

Jenny was my first friend when I moved to Chariton in Middle School. We were friends throughout high school and attended Iowa State University together where so many memories were made. Jenny thought it would be a good idea to move to Germany after college. Which meant my partner in crime was leaving too. I am still waiting for her to return to Iowa so I can see her face more than once a year but one thing is for sure, my wedding would not be the same if she was not standing next to me. Though we are miles apart, her and I's friendship has never changed.

Patricia Thornton

Bridesmaid

I met Tocia when I moved to Chariton. She basically lived at my house on the weekends and in the Summer all throughout Middle School and High School. She has been a constant in my life and we have always stayed close despite her moving to Houston.

Lindsey Vietz

Bridesmaid

Lindsey and I became friends while attending SWCC. She and I met at one of the many social gathering that SWCC had to offer. Fast forward a couple years and we attended Iowa State University together and the rest is history. We have traveled together, celebrated together, and even grieved together. One thing is certain, if Lindsey is there its always a good time!

Krista King

Bridesmaid

Krista and I became close friends our senior year of High School. We then went on to attend the first year of SWCC together where countless memories were made. Krista visited often while I attended Iowa State University until she decided to move to South Carolina. She finally came to her senses and moved home which resulted in her and I becoming roomies in Des Moines. She is someone that I can always count on to be there to help with absolutely anything.

Kaelee Lynam

Bridesmaid

The first time I met Kaelee was when she was still wearing a diaper and had blonde little curls. Things sure have changed and she sure has grown. Kaelee is my soon to be daughter and I could not be more excited to continue to watch her grow and change for all the years to come.

Hannah Clarkson

Honor Attendant

Hannah and I met in training class at Wells Fargo. She and I sat by each other for the first year and were inseparable at work. We soon started spending time together outside of work and she has been a close friend from the start. She has been there to help me through some of the hard times and for that I will be forever grateful. Hannah has been a Brad fan from the beginning so we couldn't spend the day celebrating us without her!

Alex Hanes

Honor Attendant

Alex and I were inseparable after meeting in Middle School. She and I became best friends and everyone knew where ever Lex was, Katie was. My mom and dad came to know that Lex would be at our house basically everyday after school and most weekends. We certainly didn't make the years easy on our parents and I am sure payback is coming now that we both have little ones of our own. Lex is my one friend that know matter how much time passes and things change our relationship never changes.

Karsyn Day

Flower Girl

This little girl made me a mom and my life has forever changed. Her spunk and sass remind me so much of my dad. I see him in her everyday. Our family would not be complete without her smile.

Piper Askland

Flower Girl

Piper is my beautiful niece that decided she wanted to share the great birth month of March with me. She and Karsyn have an inseparable bond already that makes my heart so happy.

Karen Day

Mother of the Bride

There are no words to describe my mom, she is the kindest women I have ever met in my life. I am so grateful for her and I's relationship.

Michael Hartley

Best Man

Me and Mike go way back like some high top fades. Despite living over an hour and a half apart we still talk daily. Mike and I met in preschool and he's been my best friend ever since.

Kreyton Lynam

Groomsman

I've known Kreyton, well, since he was born. If I ever need anything I know I can count on Krey to lend me a helping hand. He's like a brother to me.

Tyler Sweeney

Groomsman

I first met Tyler around the age of 5 or 6 when a friend of mine dared me to put some kids swim shoes in the urinal at the pool. Come to find out that kid was Tyler Sweeney. A year or two later I moved into the house 2 doors down from his where I lived throughout my childhood and he's been one of my best friends ever since.

Kyle Kolthoff

Groomsman

I don't know when me and Kyle (Butters) first met but he lived around the corner from me for a couple years when we were kids. We became close about 10 years ago when we started hanging out thanks to some mutual friends. There's nothing I'd rather do on a Sunday in the fall than watch a Chiefs game and throw a few back with Butters.

Alex Kolthoff

Groomsman

I've known Alex just as long as I've known Kyle but we didn't become close friends until he moved in next door to me around 2010. We became close friends due in large part to our mutual interest in sports, poker, and consuming adult beverages.

Travis Bryant

Usher

From watching Kobe and the Lakers in elementary school, to going to Chiefs Training Camp in high school, to Iowa Hawkeye football games in college, and now attending Chiefs and Royals games, Travis has been one of my best friends for as long as I can remember.

Brian Askland

Usher

I first met Brian when Katie and I started dating. I knew right away that as Sam's husband and Katie's brother-in-law I'd be seeing a whole lot of him. If there's anyone to lean on for advice on the trials and tribulations of marrying a Day woman it's Brian.

Klisa Lynam

Mother of the Groom

As the "Role" states, Klisa is my mom. If it wasn't for her I probably wouldn't be here. But for real I’d be lost without her and I know she’ll always have my back no matter what. One of most loyal and “ride or die” people you’ll ever meet. Love you mom.

Paul Lynam

Father of the Groom

When it comes to marriage I think of my dad as the person who most exemplifies the perfect husband. I've learned a lot from my dad but most of all he taught me to always be kind and not to argue with your wife because even when you win you lose.

Baron Lynam

Ring Bearer

My son Baron aka Bear aka the human tornado. Serving as the Ring Bearer. Asking him to walk rather than sprint down the aisle will be interesting.
