Way back in 2016, fate ambushed us at a Sacred Heart University party neither of us planned on attending. Katie was in Connecticut visiting her best friend, fully intending to drive home…until she didn’t. One “okay fine, I’ll stay & help set up” later, a small hangout turned into a full‑blown college rager complete with unfamiliar faces, questionable decisions, and Katie unsuccessfully trying to keep snacks from burning & strangers from destroying her friend’s rental house. Enter: Brad. A handsome 6‑foot guy who walked in halfway through the night and unintentionally changed everything. Katie greeted him the only way she knows how — with a huge infectious smile, bubbly personality and…a handshake? (Who even does that at a college party?) Regardless, Brad was smitten on the spot. He didn’t even care that she laughed when first hearing his name (to be fair she thought he was quoting the popular Allstate commercial at the time - also she never thought she’d meet a Brad!). We kept losing & finding each other throughout the night — Brad knowing half the room, Katie chatting with strangers and acting like the house mom. But the moment Brad really knew she was the one? When Katie accidentally interrupted him to casually roast the Jets’ football season (fair) and drop a few NY Giants facts. That was it. Game over (truly). Shortly after, we quite literally shocked each other when sharing our first kiss, laughed about the “zing!” (yes, the Hotel Transylvania movie kind), and spent the rest of the night — and early morning — talking about everything and nothing. We exchanged information, went on a romantic first date, and honestly…we’ve been choosing each other ever since. From Katie earning her master’s at Rutgers, to Brad graduating from electrical tech school, to buying our first home, adopting a small zoo of fur babies (who we are absolutely obsessed with entirely), moving Upstate, and navigating every high and low life has thrown our way — we’ve grown up together and built a life we love. Along the way, we’ve collected the most incredible friends and family who’ve supported us through every chapter. And now, after TEN YEARS (who’s counting?), the moment we’ve been waiting for is finally here. We cannot wait to celebrate this huge milestone with all of you — thank you for being part of our story, our joy, and one unforgettable celebration.
