I met Levi in the hospital, probably. He has the impressive ability to open his throat and drink a whole beer in seconds -- skills like that get you to the top of the Groomsman list. He is also my biological brother and therefore is somewhat of a shoo-in.

I have 94 cousins, but Lizzie is often better described as "like a sister" because we spent our childhoods growing up side by side. We wore Cinderella dresses together and spent hours in the Wildwood Crest ocean. We giggled past our bedtime. We argued through adolescence and encouraged each other through young adulthood. Our lives have always been overlapping; our relationship and love a guaranteed constant through every life change. It is only fitting that Lizzie is next to me for this one.

Best Man
It's likely that I also met Josh at the hospital. This is the last person on the groomsman list for which that is the case. Josh is like a brother to me and will be a delightful second Best (not second-best, to be clear) Man.

I spent a lot of my childhood as the only girl surrounded by my brother and his friends, and I looked forward to the day that I could text my sister-in-law, "what are we wearing to dinner?" Demi is the sister-in-law of my dreams. Someone who will always be on my side. Someone who will always listen. Someone who will always love.

Katie's brother. Brad's future brother-in-law. The one who introduced us and gave his okay for us to date back in 2021. If he could go back in time, he would do it again (we assume).

Maddie and I met on a soul-searching trip to Italy (we studied abroad in Florence). It was love at first Aperol Spritz. The foundation of our friendship was fanciful and filled with adventures to beautiful Italian cityscapes, but our friendship has only grown stronger in the reality of adulthood. Fiercely loyal, witty, overflowing with love, and always best dressed - Maddie is quite simply the best.

Joseph B. Costello is the kind of man you pretty much have to mute on Twitter but also the kind of man you'd be honoured to have in your bridal party. We all have best friends like that.

We met in Kindergarten. I don't remember a time in my life without Shannon as a best friend. Through soccer practice, lab reports, fandoms (like Philadelphia sports but also boy bands) - Shannon and I went from children on the playground to adults maintaining a lifelong friendship on opposite sides of the country. For over two decades and spanning 3000 miles, it has never waivered. A friendship that has proven to withstand time and distance.

The only multilingual member of the wedding party, Antonín has a lot to offer. He's the life of the party and a 'lead-by-example' type in the Have a Good Time department.

I met Hayley in the second half of college, and it was serendipitous like it is for anyone who meets a best friend. The air is lighter when we're laughing together. We communicate almost exclusively through inside jokes and memories. Supportive of my weirdest or wildest ideas, willing to go out on a Tuesday but stay in on a Friday - stories of my favorite days often include Hayley at the center in our little college apartment doing the silliest of things.

The tallest member of an already pretty tall wedding party (except the groom [and officiant]), Seth taught me how to align a laser, which turned out to be a surprisingly important part of the next decade-plus of my life. It's only fitting Seth gets to stand on the stage for the wedding.

JOY. Knowing Manderley is knowing overflowing joy. In the bleak loneliness of moving to a new city during a pandemic, Manderley brought warmth and comfort. With a mutual love for tacos, chicken wings, and reality TV, we went from roommates to best friends. Laughter, gossip, brunch, football, empathy, unconditional love.

Maybe the most important on this list in terms of her contribution to our love story, Maggie is our entire world. Like all great things, the choice to get a dog was spontaneous, but adding Maggie to our family is the best decision we have made so far (and may never be topped). Our wedding day will only accurately capture our love with Maggie's joyous smile and wagging tail beside us, and she is very excited to see you all.
