Question

What Covid precautions are in place?

Answer

Let's ge the big one out of the way first! We want to make this event as safe as possible for the health of our loved ones. This is why we are asking that all adults are fully vaccinated for the event AND that people please take an at-home covid test on the morning of the wedding. We will have some covid tests available at the venue, but we recommend taking one beforehand so that you can get to celebrating right away! The wedding ceremony and cocktail hour will be held outdoors, while dinner and dancing will take place inside the barn. The barn has high ceilings and can comfortably fit about 225 people and we are expecting 130 guests. The barn windows and at least some of the barn doors will remain open for the entirety of the event to allow airflow. We would also recommend asking for consent before offering hugs, as not everyone will feel safe or comfortable sharing a close proximity during these pandemic times. Finally, while it is not required, you are welcome to wear a mask!

Question

Where will the wedding take place?

Answer

All wedding events will take place at Beech Ridge Barn in Scarborough, Maine! 21 Beech Ridge Rd, Scarborough, ME 04074

Question

How do I get to and from the wedding venue?

Answer

If you RSVP'd that you are bringing your own car, you are welcome to drive to the event and park at the venue. If possible, we recommend arranging a carpool as parking will be limited (about 60 spots). If you are staying at the Merry Manor Inn, a shuttle will bring you to and from the wedding (more info under "Travel"). If you would like to take advantage of the shuttle but are not staying at the Merry Manor Inn, simply show up at the hotel in time for the 2pm pick-up to utilize the shuttle service. The shuttle will depart the venue once at 8:30pm and once at 10:30pm. We DO NOT recommend relying on cabs or uber to get to and from the event - they can be a bit unpredictable in the summertime.

Question

What are the venue rules?

Answer

1. No firearms of any kind are allowed on the premises 2. No smoking or any other open flame is allowed within 25 feet of any of the buildings (Barn, Guesthouse, and Farmhouse) – these are old, wooden buildings!!! Proper receptacles will be provided for disposal of cigarette butts and tobacco refuse in a designated smoking area of the property. 3. Event guests are not allowed to bring their own alcohol onto the property or inside the Barn (don’t worry, we’ll have plenty of options!) 4. Only the following individuals are allowed to use the Farmhouse restrooms: Bride and groom, the wedding party, new parents with infants, those who need a more accessible restroom, and the elderly. All other guests should use the restrooms provided. 5. No fishing, diving, bathing, swimming, or other activity in the pond is permitted

Question

What do I wear?

Answer

The dress code for the wedding is dressy casual! However, our wedding is taking place outdoors in August, so expect it to be WARM! So please wear whatever makes you feel gorgeous and comfortable. Here's an article on "dressy casual" wedding attire, if you're still looking for outfit ideas! https://www.theknot.com/content/what-to-wear-dressy-casual

Question

Will you feed us?

Answer

YES! We will be serving both small bites during the cocktail hour and a full, family-style dinner at the reception. There are both vegan and gluten free options on the menu. If you have any serious allergies, please let us know!
