Due to venue requirements all guests at our wedding need be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Like all other places around the world, Puerto Rico has implemented local COVID-19 health measures to protect visitors and citizens alike. You can find all of Puerto Rico's COVID rules at this website: https://www.discoverpuertorico.com/info/travel-guidelines
We are keeping this invite only. Thank you for respecting our wishes.
Por razones del local, estamos manteniendo la celebración íntima y por invitación formal solamente. Gracias por respetar nuestros deseos.
Cocktail Attire: Wear cocktail dresses, jumpsuits, button-down dress shirts and slacks. Average temperatures in Puerto Rico for March hover around 29° C / 84° F. For your comfort, we recommend cool fabrics such as cotton or linen. The streets in Old San Juan are cobblestoned so maybe rethink stilettos. No shorts, jeans, or sneakers, please.
Americans do not need a passport to travel to PR. Most Puerto Ricans speak English, especially in the San Juan Metro area. Your American cellphone will work here. There aren't any major bank branches here like Capital One or Wells Fargo, but you do not need to put on travel notifications. If you have a broken ATM card then it should be fixed before arriving.
We recommend flying into Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport (SJU). There are UBERs and taxis that can take you from the airport to your accommodations. If you stay outside of the San Juan metro area, you need to rent a car as there is no reliable public transportation and finding an UBER is hard outside of the metro area.
Puerto Rico’s driving rules are almost the same as any US State. We drive on the right side of the road, just as in the States. Road conditions are usually fine, though there will be some potholes. Road signs use universal traffic signs — the shape and colors are the same as in the States, but the words will be in Spanish. Seat belts are mandatory and must be used by all people in the car. It is illegal and a primary offense to text or talk on the phone while driving. Read more information here: puertoricodaytrips.com/driving-in-puerto-rico
As a guest at our wedding, behave no differently than you would at a "straight" wedding. You have been asked to attend because you are a dear friend or family member and we want you to be included in our celebration. Have Fun!
Como invitado a nuestra boda esperamos que se sientan a gusto y lo disfruten como cualquier otra boda "straight". Han sido invitados porque son amigos o familiares queridos y queremos incluirlos en nuestra celebración. Coman, beban, disfruten!
