We met here in Columbia at Twisted Spur Brewing (just up the street from our wedding venue!) in August of 2016. Richie had been living in Columbia for about 6 months and Katie was in town from Atlanta to cover a work meeting at the last minute. Richie started up a conversation from a couple bar stools down about the beer flight Katie had ordered, and the next thing you know we're talking about cats and cars and yoga and closing the place down. After a coffee date the next morning, a couple dinner dates in Atlanta a few weeks later when Richie was there for work, and a subsequent "work trip" for Katie back to Columbia, we officially began trading weekends in our respective cities and spending a lot of time on the highway :) Katie sold her condo and moved to Columbia in June of 2017. Since then, we've done a lot of painting, landscaping, furniture buying, vacuuming (because...cats), and overall just loving being together. And, we also got engaged (hence this website), in August 2018 while on vacation in Oregon. Specifically, Portland, where we subsequently celebrated with brewery visits and big smiles. Now, we know more about color palettes and wedding decor than we ever thought we would, but we are so excited for this next step in our lives and to be able to celebrate with everyone we love.
