We kindly recommend staying on property at The Sagamore Resort. Guests staying at the resort have access to all of the amenities—including the lakeside pool, restaurants, spa, golf course, and a complimentary scenic cruise on The Morgan boat. Staying on-site also makes it easy to join in on all the wedding weekend fun without worrying about transportation or parking.
We've worked hard to create an intimate celebration, so only the guests listed on your invitation are invited. If your invitation says +1 or includes a guest's name, then yes, we'd love for them to join!
Check in is at 4:00pm for the resort, and our Rehearsal Dinner will begin at 6:00pm, so make sure you give yourselves enough time to get ready. If you are just coming Friday for the Wedding/Reception, then please arrive 1 hour prior to the ceremony which will be at 5:30pm.
The ceremony will be outdoors at the Overlook. The reception will be mostly indoors, but there is an outdoor patio we will be utilizing as well!
Yes, if you are staying in the lodges and not the main hotel, there will be a shuttle running back and forth but it's not a bad walk to the venues. Transportation is only provided if you're staying the resorts property. (lodges, main hotel, cottages, etc.)

Ceremony: Formal attire - black tie if you wish, but not necessary. comfortable shoes (block heels/wedges/flats) + a light layer for the evening breeze. Rehearsal on The Morgan: Semi-formal / elegant-resort. Deck-friendly shoes; bring a light wrap. Reception: Cocktail/semi-formal + dancing shoes. Farewell Brunch: Casual/drop-in.
Rehearsal Dinner: Plated meal + full open bar. Cocktail Hour: Drinks + hors d’oeuvres. Reception: Plated dinner + open bar. Farewell Brunch: breakfast favorites, coffee, mimosas, etc. Please list any dietary needs on your RSVP.
Saturday is open—relax at the resort or explore Lake George. Activities are optional and self-booked (guests handle reservations/costs). Golf at the Donald Ross course and other ideas are on our Things to Do page.
Usually mild days with cooler evenings by the lake—bring a light jacket or wrap.
