Out-of-towners, we love you! Please read!

We're so glad you will be joining us on our special day. We understand traveling isn't always easy, so here are a few tips to help make things a bit easier! The nearest hotel is the Hampton Inn Richmond-Southwest-Hull Street. It's approximately 40 minutes from the venue, Fairview Farm Events. Uber does NOT pick up/drop off at Fairview Farm. Lyft potentially does! We suggest scheduling an advanced ride. We've listed several great Air BnB/VRBO rental options as an alternative to the hotel. All listed options are closer to the venue and are more private. Where you stay is totally up to you! We'd like to give our guests options. If you're interested in renting one of these homes, rent early! They will go fast! If you're on a tight budget/aren't worried about hotel quality, reach out to us! There's an option, we can help you figure something out.

Construction Near Venue

Update August 17: Sally Creek bridge is being replaced. Stay on Route 60 (Anderson Hwy) the whole time until Ballsville Rd to get the venue. DO NOT take Emmanuel Church/Old Buckingham Rd at the Sheetz. Use the app Waze to get you to the venue.

Flight

Richmond International Airport

This is the closest airport to the wedding venue. It is approximately 30 minutes from the Hampton Inn Richmond-Southwest-Hull Street hotel. We suggest flying into this airport and taking a taxi, Uber/Lyft, or rental car to your hotel. We also *highly* recommend, if you are able, to arrive Friday night. We want you to have as much time as possible to relax and get ready to celebrate with us on Saturday!

Flight

Ronald Reagan National Airport (DCA)

This is the closest airport to Katie and Cole's home in Arlington, Virginia. We would only recommend flying into this airport to those who are coming for an extended stay to see D.C. and/or will be renting a car to drive to Richmond for the wedding. Please note there are no direct flights from DCA to Richmond International, so you would need to drive or catch connecting flights to Richmond (can take anywhere from 3-6 hours). Driving to Richmond from Arlington/DC takes anywhere from 2-1/2 hours to 3-1/2 hours, depending on traffic.

Rental Car

Enterprise Rent-A-Car

If you have interest in renting a car, this section is for you! Uber does NOT pick up at Fairview Farm and we are pretty certain they will not drop off there either. Lyft is possibly available, we suggest giving it a try or scheduling a Lyft in advance. The closest hotel is 40 minutes away (we know, we're sorry). You are certainly welcome to rent a car, and there is free parking at the venue. If you do not wish to rent a car or cannot afford to do so, we will have a shuttle to and from the venue from the Hampton Inn. More information on the shuttle is included in the shuttle section.

Hampton Inn Richmond-Southwest-Hull Street

This is the closest hotel to the venue. We have 20 rooms blocked here for Friday, September 25 through Sunday, September 27. Rooms must be booked by September 5, 2020. Your room may be ready earlier, but check in begins at 3 PM. Please plan accordingly. Discount code is listed below. **NOTE: If you are prompted online that all rooms in our block are booked, please call the hotel directly.** The hotel offers a free continental breakfast 6-10 AM daily. You're welcome to drive yourself straight to the venue and check-in after the wedding if that's easier. For hotel guests driving from Arlington/surrounding cities we suggest getting ready before leaving to ensure on-time arrival if you won't make it to the hotel by 3 PM.

Shuttle

Shuttle to/from Hampton Inn Richmond-Southwest-Hull Street

September 26, 2020 3:45 pm - 9:45 pm

A shuttle will arrive at the Hampton Inn Richmond-Southwest-Hull Street hotel on Saturday, September 26, 2020 by 3:30 PM and will depart no later than 3:45 PM. Please board the shuttle by 3:40 PM to ensure an on time departure. Guests taking the shuttle should expect to arrive at Fairview around 4:30 PM, thirty minutes before the ceremony. Please note your intentions to take the shuttle while RSVPing. The shuttle will return to the venue to take guests back to the hotel (likely at 9:45-10 PM). Please note: There will not be a shuttle for any Friday events! We suggest carpooling. There will also not be a shuttle to/from individual Air BnB/VRBO rental homes. UPDATE: Please wear a mask while on the shuttle for everyone's safety!

Bear Creek Lake State Park/Cozy Acres Campground

Nestled in the heart of the Cumberland State Forest in central Virginia, Bear Creek Lake is less than an hour west of Richmond (23 minutes from Fairview Farm). Cozy Acres is 10 minutes from Fairview Farm. Check out their website about camping/cabin rental options! Includes a 40-acre lake with a boat launch, fishing pier, boat rentals and a swimming beach. Other attractions include a meeting facility, cabins, camping, picnicking, an archery range and playgrounds. Guests also enjoy the park's trails and access to the adjoining 16,000-acre Cumberland State Forest, including the 14-mile Cumberland Multi-use Trail, which is available for hiking, biking and horseback riding. This home is located on the water with a pool! The pool may be closed in September, but there is a hot tub open year-round. This house sleeps 10 guests and boasts two fire pits, a grill, and a jetted tub in the master bedroom. This house is approximately 17 minutes from Fairview Farm. This house sleeps 8 guests (site says 10, but upon entering the requested dates it changes to 8) and is located approximately 35 minutes from the venue. Additional guests may stay for $20 per night/per guest over 8. From the website: "The house is set on 115 acres of wood bordered hayfields and horse pastures.
