FAQs

Question

When do I need to RSVP by?

Answer

August 1st. I will start bugging you at that point if you don’t answer. You have been warned.

Question

Registry?

Answer

We’re registered on Amazon. Or Home Depot gift cards are always welcome! 🏡

Question

Hotel block?

Answer

Yes. There’s a block at the Comfort Inn Six Flags. It’s a half mile from the venue, and it’s under Kunevich. The block expires August 26 and opens to the general public at that point. Here is the direct booking link: https://www.choicehotels.com/reservations/groups/RY79K4

Question

Shuttle?

Answer

Yes! We’ve hired a friend to chauffeur everyone from the hotel to the venue and back again. Please don’t drink and drive! That’s the reason we’re doing this. When the gates are locked at midnight there’s no getting back onto the premises, and your car will be towed 😬

Question

Is the ceremony and reception at the same place?

Answer

Yes! The shuttle will run between the ceremony and reception (approximately 2 hours), so you can go to the hotel and change or relax if you’d like then come back.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Of course! But please be kind and tip your bartenders. Beer: Busch, Bud Light, and Blue Moon Wine: St. James Velvet Red (chosen because we lived on St. James for 4 years), Barefoot Moscato, and Cellar No. 8 Merlot Others: Malibu Coconut, Dekuyper Amaretto, Tito’s Vodka, Jack Daniels, and some kind of Apple Pie drink Plus sodas and water.

Question

How long do I have to wait for food after the ceremony?

Answer

There’s 2 hours between the end of the ceremony and the buffet opening. But don’t worry! There’s a full open bar and games to play, like giant Jenga and cornhole. There will also be an appetizer table.

Question

Who is catering?

Answer

Pappy’s Smokehouse! It’ll be buffet style. We’ll have ribs, pulled pork, and turkey for the meats. Then we’ll have mac n cheese, green beans, and baked beans for the sides. We’ll also have a dessert and appetizer table.

Question

It’s outdoors? What happens if it rains?

Answer

There’s an indoor ceremony location in case there’s inclement weather. It’s the same spot as the reception.

Question

Will my shoes get muddy since it’s outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony and reception are on concrete, so feel free to wear whatever your heart desires.

Question

Can I smoke on the premises?

Answer

Yes. There’s a separate smoking section. Please only smoke in the designated section to help them keep their farm beautiful. It also protects their cows.

Question

Will the tables have to be moved for the dance floor?

Answer

No. Don’t worry about losing your seat when the dance floor opens up!

Question

Covid Concerns?

Answer

They have taken necessary precautions. Seats have to be assigned, so you’re only with connected groups. If you want a table with only 2-4 people let me know. Tables and ceremony benches have been spread out. The DJ will release table by table for the bar and appetizer table, so there will be no long lines. Only wear masks if you feel more comfortable that way. Haue Valley will pass out waters while you wait for the bar or appetizers. Appetizers will be single serve foods. The dance floor has been moved to a larger area.
