We recommend coming here for beautiful hikes and scenery. Recommended places to check out in the park are Bear Lake, the Alluvial Fan, Sprague Lake, and Moraine Park. You can drive up to the top of Trail Ridge road to the visitor center to get incredible views of the park. These all require a timed entry pass to get into the park, so we recommend getting a pass the first of August or you can get it the night before using the link below. It will also be elk rut season so there will be a lot more wild life than usual!
The downtown area of Estes is a popular place to shop, eat, and drink! We recommend getting a burger at Penelope's, BBQ at Smokin Dave's, and a caramel apple at Laura's Fine Candies.
Come to this historic site where The Shining was filmed! The hotel has a bar, shops, and ghosts haunting the halls. Near the hotel is the Post restaurant if you have a craving for fried chicken.
Come down from the mountains to see where the wedding couple met! Old Town is the historic downtown area of Fort Collins that has plenty of great restaurants, bars and shops. If you are looking for an easy outdoor excursion, Horsetooth Reservoir offers some easy trails around the beautiful lake. If you are looking for something more challenging, Horsetooth Rock trail offers beautiful views of Fort Collins and CSU's campus. Go Rams!
