For our skiers, Little Cottonwood Canyon is home to our favorite ski resorts - Alta and Snowbird. These are steeper mountains than you'll find at Big Cottonwood Canyon, and they get an average of 525" of snowfall each season. Both are available on the Ikon Pass.
Big Cottonwood Canyon is home to Solitude and Brighton Ski Resorts. These tend to get a little less snow than the resorts at Little Cottonwood, but are fun for beginners and snowboarders. Both are available on the Ikon Pass, and Brighton has a great budget deal for some night skiing.
This is Harry and Katia's favorite coffee shop. Right at the mouth of Big Cottonwood Canyon, it has awesome views of the Wasatch and Oquirrh Mountain Ranges as well as the Salt Lake Valley. Much of this wedding was planned here!
Park City is an iconic mountain town, home to Park City (Epic Pass) and Deer Valley (Ikon Pass) Ski Resorts. Main Street has old mountain town & western vibes and is home to some awesome restaurants and stores. Stop at No Name Saloon to visit the spot of Harry and Katia's first date!
For those interested in Utah and Mormon history, Temple Square is home to the Salt Lake Temple (currently under renovation since October '19, and reopening Spring '27), the Tabernacle, the Conference Center, and the Church History Museum. There will be plenty of missionaries around willing to give you a tour. The Utah State Capitol is also nearby, and is pretty impressive.
If you want to see two terrible-to-average teams battle it out at the Delta Center, the Grizzlies will be playing the Jazz at the Delta Center the night before the wedding. Tickets are usually very affordable!
Antelope Island is one of the coolest ways to experience the Great Salt Lake. It hosts between 550-700 free-roaming bison, and boasts some spectacular sunsets in the winter and spring months.
For any avid golfers, April tends to be the beginning of golf season in Salt Lake City. Old Mill is a challenging county course open year round, and if the weather permits would be a great way to experience some spectacular mountain-view golf. Mountain Dell Golf Course has two 18-hole courses in Parley's Canyon, and is picturesque through all 36 holes.
