Venues in Minnesota are currently operating at 25% capacity, which unfortunately means that we need to downsize our wedding in order to stay in line with the latest guidance. This is at once both an incredibly difficult decision as it means we are unable to celebrate in person with all of our favorite people, but at the same time we know it is for the best as our first priority is that our friends and family stay healthy. We are currently working on a virtual option that we want to make available for the ceremony for those of you who would still like to see us get married, even if from afar. We will absolutely let you know if anything changes, but for now we'll have to plan on celebrating with you at some point in the future when the world is a little less crazy. Thank you all for your love and support as we adjust to the current situation, it means so much to us!
The Welcome Party (which was originally scheduled for Thursday night), is being cancelled in favor of a smaller Rehearsal Dinner. Invites to that will be sent via email.
We are doing everything in our power to follow the updated MN guidelines and ensure all of our favorite people are safe. Below are some measures that are being taken to increase safety. Please reach out if you'd like more detail! -When not eating or drinking inside, masks are required for all our guests. -At all venues, seating will be as socially distanced as possible. -Staff will be wearing masks, and will be required to do a health screening prior to work our event.
The links under the "Travel" section for the Canopy and Westin have been updated with the new room blocks. Book away!
For guests staying at the Canopy: A shuttle will arrive at 4:20pm to take you to the venue. Since not everyone will want to leave at the same time, please plan on an Uber/Lyft or other transportation (Nimbus 2000, large mystical eagles, etc.) back to the hotel. NOTE: Please plan on wearing a mask on the bus if that is how you plan to get to the venue. For other guests: There is parking at PAIKKA, but if you're going to be celebrating like we will, we encourage Ubers/Lyfts! Note that Ubers/Lyfts are requiring masks for all passengers.
That's us! Kahtee has been my (Kati's) nickname since college, when a group project member consistently pronounced my name incorrectly. For some reason the lack of an "E" in my name's spelling really threw her off. Some of my college friends (hi Brown House!) thought this was hysterical and "Kahtee" was born. Stew is Matt's nickname from highschool. In our first few months of dating I would call him "Matt" and I'd be met with confused stares from his friends who had no idea who I was talking about. Actually, this sometimes still happens today if we're being honest.
