Map of Ceremony Location - Umstead State Park Observation Deck
Turn into Umstead Park from Glenwood Ave. Follow Umstead Parkway, passed the Visitors Center on your right, park in "Small Parking Lot" on the left and follow signs to Pott's Branch Trailhead and Observation Deck (grey dashed line on the map).
The walk is .15 of a mile from the parking lot trailhead to the observation deck. The path is paved, and a gentle downhill towards the deck; uphill back to the parking lot. There is a restroom facility on site as well.
