Near downtown. Uphill for a few minutes and then a flat, easy walk. Dog-friendly! Stop by Vienne for a local pastry or refuel with a coffee. If you have a kiddo, pro-tip: walk Peet's Hill & then head over to Lindley Park, Bogert Park, or stop by the Bozeman Public Library kids' room.
About 12 miles from Bozeman. Easy hike to waterfall. Picnic on the sandy beach. Take a dip or kayak around the reservoir.
The College M is a popular hiking trail, named after the 250-foot whitewashed rock “M” made by MSU students in 1915. The trail has 2 routes to access the “M”. The right fork follows the ridge for a short and steep hike, while the left fork switchbacks through a fir and juniper forest, making a more gradual ascent. The trail is 2,336 ft long & has a hard overall physical rating.

Friday, July 24th the Gallatin Speedway has Street Stocks, Super Stocks, Midwest Mods, and Modifields racing. Cash to enter & they sell food and both alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks. Wholesome fun! Pro tip: we bring $1 bills to bet on cars with our friends.
Check out the Bozeman Hot Springs website to catch live music while you soak. 12 different pools. Pro tip: grab dinner at Stacey’s Old Faithful Bar & Steakhouse while out that way.
If you’re planning on checking out Yellowstone, we would love to make some recommendations! We love going through Livingston to the North Entrance. Some of our favorite stops along the way would be Carter’s Bridge to dip your toes in the Yellowstone River, lunch at Old Saloon or The Outpost in Emigrant, soak at Chico Hotsprings, and/or grab a drink at Sage Lodge. You’ll enter through Gardiner which is a cute, small town. Get out & do the easy hike to Grand Prismatic Overlook, it’s worth it! Exit through West Yellowstone & on the way back grab BBQ at The Riverhouse (right before you get to Big Sky). Finally, enjoy the beautiful drive back to Bozeman… turn off at the green bridge & dip your toes in the Gallatin River.
Even though we have had a poor show year, I would always recommend white water rafting. You can check with Montana White Water to see how the flows are & if it’s worth a trip. We recommend either the Gallatin River or the Yellowstone River. It’s pure fun & the scenery alone is worth it! If you want something a little less splashy, try out fly fishing in either one of these rivers.
