Please RSVP by March 15, 2026 - or as soon as you can so we can best plan for your presence.
The ceremony will be held in an open meadow. We have a rain tent on retainer just in case. Our reception will be under a open-air tent in the woods. No parts of the wedding will be fully indoors. Plan accordingly. Check the weather ahead of the wedding in case you'll want an umbrella, sun protection, or a light jacket. *please also note, there is very limited cell phone reception on property*
Cocktail Attire The evening will transition from "springtime cocktail party in the meadow" to "secret dinner in the forest" vibes. Think nice suits, cocktail dresses, fancy jumpsuits, button-ups and a tie, etc. Colors are moss green, plum, walnut, sunsets and dark florals. Reach out if you have questions. NOTE: You will be walking on gravel paths and in a meadow. Choose footwear accordingly (ie: flats, wedges, or other shoes that won't sink into the earth).
YES! In fact this is the only way to get to/from the wedding venue. A shuttle service will be provided between the Hampton Inn & Suites (Pittsboro) and Annelise Island (venue). See "Travel" tab for more information.
No. See "Travel" tab for info about the shuttle.
No. Children will not be allowed at the ceremony or reception. Please let us know ASAP if help with childcare will enable you to celebrate with us.
No. Your time and effort to join us at our wedding is the only gift we wish for. However, if you insist on giving us something, we would be touched if you make a donation in our honor to one of three organizations that are important to us: Bean Voyage, Equality NC, or the Haw River Assembly.
The wedding is in Pittsboro, about 45 minutes away from downtown Raleigh or Durham. You are welcome to explore these cities during your trip, but plan to catch the shuttle to the wedding at the hotels in Pittsboro at 4:00pm on the wedding day.
